"My wife and I came here for the first time and were told good things. Upon entering there was a funky smell, not sure what it was or how to describe it other than hot plastic. After sitting down the smell faded away. The staff was friendly and we we seated quickly even though it was fairly busy with almost all tables full. The menu was a little surprising, consisting of a handful of burgers, handful of Thai dishes and handful of typical mains like stake or salmon. I went for the Royal Bangkok Noodle Bowl, spicy. It was tasty, good flavours with a touch of heat. My wife had the Sirloin with asparagus and poutine instead of mashed potatoes. The steak was good, cooked perfectly. My wife said she enjoyed it more than the Keg! The poutine was alright but could use more cheese curds, the sauce was definitely off the grocery store shelf stuff. Overall I think it was good but it just seemed to lack in the intangibles perhaps. The atmosphere didn't really have much of an impact on us, but we'll probably be back for the food."

"We came here at ~6pm, was pretty full but mostly people coming in for takeaways. It took around 30 mins for our food to come, this is probably due to the shop prioritisinh takeaway orders first as our food only came out when there were none takeaway orders left. Should consider this a factor if you’re planning to have a quick bite. The ‘proper hot’ fried chicken and loaded fries with cheese+gravy was hot and delicious, fried chicken came with a slice of bread,pickles and ranch. Would’ve definitely been a 5 star if it wasn’t for the wait time. All staff were very welcoming and friendly, it was nice and warm inside."

"Went to try a new craft beer... The atmosphere was cozy and the staff super friendly and the food was tasty and I will defiantly be going back .... The beer is yummy as well<br/ <br/ Went back January 2016 <br/ <br/ It was amazing ... The food was flavoursome and good quantity"

"Gather foodhouse is a great place for lunch. The staff are incredibly attentive. We have turned up when they are super busy and they always let you know they are busy, set expectations and still manage to get your drink orders and food to you. They have a great cabinet selection. But I can never go past the extensive menu, where there are still loads of things I want to order next visit. There are multiple pancake options. Last time I was there I had the rice pudding and for less than 15 bucks it was massive and so so good. They have a salad bowl on the menu too that is really tasty, but again bring your appetite. The general feel of the place is fresh and well decorated. It’s a real joy to go."

"Went here yesterday with a decent sized group. Place was also pretty busy at the time. Thought there might be a long wait for the food but it all came out at such a great pace. And its was so yummy ! I had the chicken burger, partner had a toasted sandwich with extras and kids also had a toastie. There was so much cheese ! It was great. We also got caramel banana shakes and they were delicious aswel (abit small for price, they didn't come in the tall retro glasses like I thought but those small jar type glasses, drink wasnt fill to the top either it was under the neck and rest was filled up with cream which was abit off a rip). Was also happy to see a kids area, which was also grea. Would deffinitly visit again though the food was great!"
