"A safe value is good, it's pro and it's quite rare today! Taste their matte meats, only happiness. You pay, but it's very good! I didn't put 5 stars, because, during my visit yesterday, I would always like to have a little salad with my burger (delicious) and fries, though good, were still frozen... We're critical or not! The big one was good too. So I say thank you to the Café de la Fontaine, I'm never disappointed, or so little (lol) and thank you to waiters and waitresses, very kind, very pro too! I recommend!"

"I expected to have something much better making the area discover to friends I remain disappointed. Deja the welcome of the boss is a little ole and surprising in the style of restaurant, nevertheless the waitress has caught up. As for the kitchen nothing exceptional, including a lack of flavours and cooking very medium sized sci-jacques, as well as the cuisine in general according to my friends. I don't recommend this restaurant if you want to do or please."

"The unprepossessing facade of this restaurant on Mausanne's main street hides an elegant little covered terrace at the rear of the house. Certainly very efficiently run by an group of smartly uniformed ladies.Kind a fascinating menu presentation; english translation is helpfully shown, and the components of the Plat du Jour are shown with their a la carte prices alongside. Consequently, a total no-brainer to go for the 55E option which also included a (perfectly acceptable) bottle of wine, a selection of cheese, and coffee to finish.Off to a good start with a plate of several slices of smoked ham off the bone. Top quality but not particularly delicate.Next it was daube of beef, amazingly accompanied by macaroni cheese which sounds dreadfully wrong but surprisingly seemed to work rather well. I think a daube is supposed to be beef stew and there were some very tender and sizeable chunks of meat on this occasion. I subsequently mentioned the complexion of this dish to some french chums and they were, frankly, quite horrified. But, as I said, it actually did seem to be more successful than one might expect.Started to feel a little full by this stage, but still took full advantage of the comprehensive cheese board, including a very pungent and runny roquefort specimen.Eased up for dessert by selecting a welcome nougat glace with a tinge of lavender and honey. I declined coffee, and certainly felt that I had eaten for England by the time I left. And I'd do it again.Excellent restaurant, pleasant location, generous and well-cooked food, professional staff, tremendous value for money - so what's not to like."

"Passing around the corner on the weekend of May 1 and lunch by chance on Saturday noon by a brunch. Just very good, wide choice, seafood, superb wine cellar. Very fresh frame and Sympa We were in the back near the river. Quick and discreet service and very smiling for all.... Great! Bravo and thank you. We'll be back!"

"At first we have to say that this restaurant is highly demanded in Maussane. We started to eat there three times but one day we had luck. Although the restaurant was complet in the evening we got a seat for two. We were not waiting...long for our delicious food. The plate was good and the Amount was sufficient. My friend could eat the rest from me. For us it is important to mention that the owners change their menu several times a year. It's always a surprise. We are looking forward to our next visit."

"I was Rose C's father when we visited this place on 25 August, and was the one who paid the bill. I was absolutely flabbergasted at the abusive way the owner and his manager spoke to us about leaving food on our plates when we...had finished. When I went to pay the bill the cashier entered €366 onto their card terminal the correct amount including half price for the three children. The manager then came over, deleted it, and re-keyed €429 an extra €63. The receipt was stuffed into my hand. I only realised afterwards on looking at the receipt, that I had been forced to pay the extra €63 to make it full adult price for the three children, as punishment for leaving food on our plates. By then my daughter standing with me was in tears, there were people waiting behind me, and I just wanted to get out of the place because the children were waiting in the car and it was a long journey back to our holiday house. So I paid under protest. Appalling behaviour by these two men, how they can call themselves restaurateurs is beyond me."
