"Pumpkins nothing but pumpkins, big pumpkins, small pumpkins, all over all pumpkins. On our way home from the tour to the open garden gate we decided to make a trip to the Krewelshof in Lohmar. On 17/09/2016 it was again so far, there was the great pumpkin Wiegemeisterschaft of NRW, so popular with garden friends. We arrived shortly after the award ceremony and already saw many cars in the parking lot on whose followers were huge pumpkins. But we still saw the first places where the biggest pumpkin was with just under one ton and there were still recordings with the pumpkin queen. The pumpkin is one of the oldest fruits in the world and is one of the berry fruits in botanical terms. Its name is derived from the basket and it contains important nutrients, including potassium and carotene. The Krewelshof is very popular also because of the passion for pumpkins. A lot of pumpkins were sold on a large outside sale. The farm has a lot more to offer, so there is here: a game bar for children: pedal car, trampoline, giant kicker, bouncy castle, slides, and much more. petting zoo with rabbits, goats and donkeys, a show cheese shop, each adult a free coffee a large farm market : Here you can comfortably stroll through and look out for treats. In-house jams, juices and wines, bread and cakes, vegetables and fruits, regional delicacies and deco items, gastronomic offer: there are freshly prepared dishes and cakes from our own bakery, whether for a family breakfast or for a wedding party and for baby food, a microwave is available. The opening hours of the various barns on the Krewelshof Lohmar are different: Gastronomy: Mon. So. 09:00 to 18:00 Hof Markt: Mon. – Fr. 09:00 to 18:30, Sat 09:00 to 18:00 hrs., Sun 12:00 to 16:00 hrs. Playground and Playground: Mon. to Fri 15:00 to 18:30 hrs. Saturday 10:00 to 18:30 hrs. Sunday holiday 12:00 to 18:30 hrs. The Krewelshof is located very conveniently on a road in Cologne Lohmar right next to the A3 motorway with 350 free parking"

"On this place on the side of the road happened and decided to try it! What a great find! Greetings and sitting immediately upon entering. The owner was gracious and explained all the elements on the menu for us. Surprises us with a traditional Greek drink (ouzo) before our meal and then before we paid the bill came around every table with FREE ice cream! Our meal was prompt, tasty and very reasonable price. The dining room was beautiful with high candles gracing every table! Perfect locomotive for a romantic evening or a meeting with friends."

"Hello your loved ones; my dear friend and I were once again on the way and got hungry, so we drove to the meeting point in Mechernich. I haven't been there for a while, but nothing has changed. The entrance area is like a snack, then you come in the room and there are many seats. There is then the conservatory, which is really very welcoming. As always, we were relatively early and there was little going on. The order came quickly. Tastefully, I would have hoped more from the crowd. The appetizers were sufficient and tasty, the panned feta was probably not a finished product and if so, a good . As a bread supplement there are pizza rolls that were unfortunately far too hard. The beverages unfortunately somewhat too cold, therefore little carbonic acid. The service was friendly and attentive and also had time for a short chat; With the prices I was not satisfied for my terms, too little for this price.
