"We weren't really hungry but needed something, so we got the planchette a slate board with: air-dried beef, smoked ham, cured ham, bacon, and Gruyere cheese (bread included of course). Everything was top quality, all made in the Gruyere valley, nothing with pieces-joined-by-glue ..this was the real stuff. We went to the Fromagerie to buy the cheese since the taste topped anything we ever had here in Switzerland (we live here). Unfortunately we weren't able to find a place to buy the other products perhaps next time we will have time to look in Bulle."

"When skiing with small children it is so difficult to find a combination of child-friendly restaurant near the pists. la pierre a catillon is perfect: right next to the starter lifts (near enough for a quick break and a hot piece); there is a...indoor play area if small need a longer break and they need to wait around the rest of the skiers in the family; good menu with excellent child meal; good coffee if they have to hang around the mentioned indoor play area; simple contemporary design and friendly service (both rarely in French-speaking Switzerland this place really completes molecularson's family-friendly profile and I wish there were more places like these in other resorts."
