"Das San Marco ist seit vielen Jahren eine Institution in Ratingen. Die Renovierung im letzten Jahr hat dem Lokal gut getan. Moderne Einrichtung bei unveränderter Küche, und das heißt vor allem gute Pizza aus dem Holzofen. Man darf von der Küche keine Wunder erwarten, aber es gibt ordentliche italienische Küche zu normalen Preisen. Lediglich die 2,60 € für ein 0,3l Glas Pils sind ein bisschen zu viel. Dafür ist der Wein wiederum relativ günstig. Der Service war ebenfalls in Ordnung."

"Services quite friendly and entertaining, ok was empty so we came to the conversation. eating was something different, brot and herbalate after homemade recipe, so it tasted quite good, but it won't be my new civic shop, as I'm very traditional with this. the construction of the restauran was somewhat kept quiet in the British, so it was easy to get back on holiday."

"Somehow, we have only just discovered Simon's event though it is only a very short walk from where we have lived for twenty years. The menu is basically Italian and features all the standards, but there is also a very interesting weekly menu of specials such as game ravioli with sage butter and vegetables, and gurnard (Roter Knurrhahn) with sun dried tomatoes, capers, olives and spaghetti aglio olio. We especially like the "Klein aber fein" menu of small dishes which make an excellent tapas-style dinner. My top recommendation is the charcuterie and cheese platter: accompanied by a bottle of excellent Metzger Duett wine it makes an excellent light dinner."

"We went here without a reservation on a Friday evening and had to make a booking for later on that night because they had no tables available. It is a very popular place.We had grilled octopus as a starter, followed by two 'Fino' platters. The octopus was perhaps the most tender one we had ever had. The platters were great, too. However, the salads came smothered in some sticky dressing and there was way too much salt on the potatoes and the meats. Shame, because otherwise it would have been a truly good meal."
