"This day for lunch with 30 degrees in the shade I have cracked for melon, crudities, a beautiful green salad, cheese with correct bread (which is not always the case in cafeteria) and a lemon pie meringue with a coffee. The freshness of the raw and desserts is at the rendezvous. another good point: available to make your dressing different varieties of oil and good vinegar. this cafeteria also offers pizza with a pizza of the day in the menu. the menu price is correct because it is fresh."

"Passing through Vitré my husband and i decided to stop for lunch, it was 1.30pm on a Saturday and we were turned away from all the little creperies we crept into. We were about to give up when we saw Le Chene Vert in front of the station. To be honest it was a last resort and did not look particularly inviting but my husband was starving. I can honestly say that I ate one of the best meals that I have eaten in a long time. I chose an omelette ( I am a non meat eater and often find nothing on the menu but I could have had several dishes on this menu) my husband chose a tartine .........both were delicious, freshly cooked homemade chips, a lambs tongue salad with a homemade dressing and an omelette which was cooked to perfection, cooked but still soft inside . My husband's cheese toast with slices of bacon was delicious too he said. Our portions were large and unfortunately i was not hungry enough to try one of the desserts but the desserts in the restaurant also looked inviting. We paid about 23 euros for our meal with coffee and drinks, definitely worth it!!!!"

"Economic formula at 11,50€. The flavors are also economical and the ingredients of poor quality (box mushrooms with full, reconstituted ham and insipid). There must be much better to glaze, which is really a charming town."

"Well, the thing in France is that you never know what will happen when you don 't speak the language. We get through fine, but then with my wife suffering from celiac disease it can be a challenge ... not here, as the host and the...staff are prepared to help. If you try, they will try as well and at the end of the day we had a fantastic lunch. So, it is all about Gallette and Crepes, but the variety is massive and there is something for everyone. Our teenage kids even had a menu and enjoyed this a lot. Value for money is fantastic and the portions were good size, food was fresh and these were the best Gallette we had during our 2 week trip through Brittany. Location is right in the heart of Vitre, and we were lucky enough to grab a table for four outside, but even the inside looked great, with little niches everywhere and the building was well maintained for its age. The staff was excellent, see above, and from them taking a family picture of us to the host joking with us we had it all, we felt like 'being part ' and that is something special in todays world. Thanks to the team ... keep on doing what you are doing ... go there if in Vitre, it is worth it."
