"Animated on the basis of a newspaper assembling from 18.08.2022, we were eating here today. The food was terrific, rarely eaten so good rag steaks. We have been served very friendly and quick. With certainty, we become a repeater here"

"We had a meal for two here. Three courses with wine came to a very reasonable 75 euros, which given the quality is good value. The place is very cosy, old fashioned and we stayed for over two hours the service was fine too. They serve traditional German food and some Italian style options (especially for vegetarians). It was pretty busy for off season, so booking a table at weekends might be needed (it can be done via their website)."

"For a long time we had planned to visit the Dösterhof in the northern Saarland; the very well-made homepage www.dösterhof.de had made us very curious. The spouses Heiner and Jennifer Blasius, both actually veterinarians, have realized a habitat with the Dösterhof and together with the studied farmer Ullrich Link, lead the farm, supported by a seventeen-headed team. Old breeds such as the Allgäuer Braunvieh, the Bunte Bentheimer Schwein, the Braune Bergschaf, the Diepholzer Gans and several rare chicken breeds are cultivated and cultivated art-friendly. On Friday, Saturday, Sunday and on holidays, the court shop and the farm café are open (every 11:00 18:00 and the beer garden during the season until 21:00. There are cold and warm kitchens, with all products from their own farm or from its own hunting area (the high forest is mainly wild. Everything is done by yourself, Convenience Goods or TK Goods are available here. Only the drinks are taken from the outside. I almost forgot: For larger celebrations or events, the Alte Stall can be rented as an event room. When we arrived at 14:00, the Hofcafé was well visited, including the beer garden. A friendly young man greeted us and asked if we had reserved ourselves; we had to deny it. After a short look at his list, he offered us a table in the beer garden: You can have him at 3:00. We took him. rings around us loud hikers with great backpacks and luxurious outdoor clothing; everything from the finest, we are a bit with our daily skates; . My treasure ordered a small apple choir (0.2l EUR 2.70 and the Jausenplatte at EUR 14.50; for me there should be a Gutmann yeast wheat (0.5l EUR 4.20 and the wildfrikadelle with wildberries and bread at EUR 6.70. The Gutmann brewery from Titting was completely unknown to me until then; it can be praised here. The Jausenplatte (where do you know the term Jause in the northern Saarland? was equipped with raw berry, salami, a small sausage variation, Brie, Camembert, mustard variation, various hams, blue grapes, land butter, tomatoes and cornichons; And there were sourdough bread from handwork. I saw everything very well and tasted my wife very much; I got a bargain from the Rohesser and one of the hams. It's all fabulous! We decided to buy some of the sausages and ham for domestic needs in the farmhouse; our escape between two thunderstorms and hail prevented this, but the farm store also sends its goods and we want to return anyway in better weather and looking at the farm, especially the stables and pastures, in all tranquility. Some of the Jausenplatte reads my wife, because on site she wanted to taste a piece of peasant cheese cake at 2,60 EUR. In the end it was also packed when the wind came up and announced the next kiss from heaven. I almost forgot my wild frescoes. A powerful, tasty strain that tasted me very well, but for me it was clearly too strong from its consistency; that should be more fluffy. The bread served as XXL Frikadelle was the sourdough bread from handmade, which had also been handed over to the Jausenteller. Conclusion: We're coming back! P.S. pictures of spices and potion I could not do here for lack of photo equipment; but will be retrieved occasionally. And the piece of peasant cheesecake consumed my love of heart on the leap; from zigzag construction sites and redirections she went to a bus stop and read the cake from me there;"
