"Great food and coffee, make sure you get here early to beat the brunch crowd. Highly recommend the CB Big Breakfast (especially after a 7km walk around the peninsula). Coffee is great, and as an added bonus, one of the best chocolate/confectionery stores joined by a sliding door, very dangerous for those sweet tooth’s out there. Recommended"

"So this morning we stopped off to get a coffee and a bite to eat at Cafe Sandspit up at Snells Beach. We met the owner who was serving us and we were having a yarn. He said that he worked in south East Asia for a while and became an admirer of their cultural relationship with spirituality. He said that regardless of if you were poor, or rich, it was your spirit and aura that mattered. Every morning they would gift one special person a free meal drink because they vibed with there spirt. So today, this awesome guy calls us his “special people” he turns around the eftpos machine to show us $1.00. He said he vibed with our aura and we’ve got a real good spiritual presence. We need more people like him in the world, spiritual awareness and kindness. Give a little to receive a little"

"Excellent pies (OK...i ate more than one pie). Mince was fantastic! Beef and mushroom was good but not as good as the Mince...(which was burn your mouth good because you can't wait). They're a busy place but staff are friendly, quick with your order and give you value for money."

"Came to Warkworth from West Auckland just to have lunch at Bam Boo and WOW!! what a great move! First of all, loving the decor! Service was top knotch! Our server knew about each dish we asked about! Drinks arrived fast, and food followed not too far behind. We started with duck pancakes...delicious! Then came the pork belly, prawns squid. Seriously, it all was full of flavour combo's that were banging!! If I had to choose, prawns were my favourite! We were second table to arrive at 12pm, we got a window seat looking out to the board walk river. There is a carpark right outside. I highly recommend Bam Boo! Thank you!"

"I ordered fried rice and was told it would take 20min to prepare. I waited for 30min and asked if the food was ready. The lady owner rudely said it would be ready in 5min. It still was not ready after the extra 5min at which point I asked for a refund. At that point the lady owner started yelling and complaining about wasting her food and refused to give me a refund. To be honest had the lady owner at any point apologized for the unexpected delay rather than behaving obnoxiously I would have accepted the food. Also as she was packing the food the food lid fell on the floor and was still used to cover the food. It is ironic that the owner talks about it being unhygienic to trial one of her other customers foul tasting smelling fish (per another review). After covering the food with the lid picked up from the floor she brought the food to the counter and rudely threw the food container towards me. I still insisted on a refund. Finally she collected notes and coins for the refund and rudely threw them over the counter. Again one of the owners responses talks about treating others with respect. There was zero respect shown for me on this day. At any point in time had the owner apologized or shown respect for her customer there would have been an amicable resolution of the delay in cooking the food."
