"Having visited The Stage in Jan 19 and having a positive experience from the food perspective I was more than disappointed with the experience today. The service which was poor was, compared to the food (runny and tasteless vegetarian tart, oversalted whitebait and practically inedible new potatoes) excellent. This was an experience one can only deal with once in a lifetime."

"I decided to try this takeaway due to positive reviews about the food. I ordered via the telephone went to pick it up. The entrance door was so grubby it was disgusting. The inside waiting area could do with a proper deep clean. I can’t imagine what the cooking area is like. Needless to the say I couldn’t eat the food once I brought it home it went in the bin. Please please keep your premises clean even more so in this climate."

"Poor service. Partner and I ordered on the app, staff were obviously confused, flustered, conflicting with each other, and carrying that attitude forward to customers. When our food was ready, they called out the orders by contents, not reference numbers. Our orders were pretty common, so we'd ask if these were A286 and A287, to which they just replied with the order contents again. I took mine home to eat later, and when I reheated it, I discovered the chili cheese bites I'd ordered were actually chicken nuggets in a chili cheese bites bag. I'm allergic to chicken, so that's £3.49 in the bin. Place needs to get their heads straight, fulfill orders correctly, and take a more positive attitude towards customer service. I'm aware fast food jobs aren't the best and don't pay well, but it costs a person nothing to be polite. No need to get short with me just because I want to check the food you're handing out is actually my order and not someone else's..."

"Delicious roast carvery dinners. Portions were massive, will definitely return but will have a smaller plate next time. Only negative is that the carrots were a bit hard and the cauliflower cheese was not very cheesy or saucy."

"I don't like a burger in five guys. But it is famous for pommes and caramel milkshake. Its most tasty ever and I can't find the same taste any other place instead of five guys. Keep it on boys."

"Went with my 2 daughters and son in law to the Halcyon in Peterborough for lunch on 16th Feb 22, we ordered our choices however was told my first choice of main meal (big belter breakfast) was off the menu so I ordered my second...choice (fish n chips) was also off the menu.. so against my better judgement I reluctantly went for the lasagne.. the meals came, however, my lasagne was lukewarm as was my daughters and son in law's meals, they were cold by the time we got half way through eating them.. we were not impressed, especially since the pub was not actually thronging with people.. to add insult to injury their prices have spiked somewhat which left a bitter taste in our mouth.. on a positive note the staff gave us an excellent service.. however we will not be returning for a long long time"

"We booked a table for my husbands' birthday, The staff were very friendly and attentive. Our table was ready, we had a choice of tables. The service was fantastic, the food was amazing. It was a little bit cold in there but we were only sitting and the staff would have been running around so they would be be more comfortable. There was a lovely bit of background music as well. We really enjoyed it and will visit again. Get the app and you can get discounts."
