"I have now visited Mission BBQ in at least 3 cities. I have been several times to the Mission BBQ in Fayetteville. Another restaurant that you can expect great food and great service no matter what location you visit. They really got me with their support for our veterans. Love how they design the locations. Love the BBQ. Always a treat for the guys that work with me. We had lunch 2 days while working near by. After lunch my sub contractor purchased more BBQ to take home. I had a minute to meet one of the managers onsite. It is a apparent they love what they do. Plenty of people coming here to eat."

"Don't bother if you're vegan. The only thing I could order without cheese was hummus and then I paid for feta that was left on request. Should the rice beans have ordered cheese option Sans cheese. That was the extent of the offers for vegans. Gotta pack More food on travel"

"My husband and I had lunch at Grace's Place this afternoon, and we have never had a waitress that was so rude. From the moment she seated us she was angry and rude. We have no idea why she treated us this way. My husband had to go up to the counter to ask for a re-fill because she never came back to see if we needed anything. When she took our order, and also when she brought us the bill she slammed it down on the table. This was our first time eating there, and we enjoyed our food, but we will not go back because of her rudeness. She found time to drink her coffee while chatting with her co-worker, but didn't have time to wait on us. Sad that employees are allowed to act this way openly towards customers."

"I had heard quite a bit about the famous Five Guys French fries. There was a TikTok video of a Five Guy employee showing how they prepared fries that garnered a lot of views and positive comments. So when driving to Roanoke on the day before Thanksgiving and (you guessed it) spending hours in traffic, when we saw a Five Guys sign we decided to check out their fries. This was my first visit to their place. Being lacto vegans we rarely visit burger places. As can be seen from the pics, the inside are a bright red and white. The place has an interesting motif of peanuts a nod to the fact that they their cooking is in peanut oil which tends to be healthier for high heat cooking. They had a prominent sign advertising that they needed help and paid up to $23 per hour. But I digress. The fries were great! We could see clearly that they were being cooked in a separate container so there is no meat cross contamination that happens in typical fast food places. For instance the vegan burgers in Burger King clearly say that they have been prepared in a facility that processes meat. This means they will be using the same oil, cooking instruments and surfaces for both. In Five Guys care is taken to isolate them. This is crucial for people like me who are vegan for religious purposes. The fries are certainly not cheap. An order to large fries were $7.40! But the quantities were generous. Unlike the typical fries that are thin and crisp these fries are on the thicker side with crisp skins and softer insides. I am guessing they get this consistency by flash frying the potatoes in very hot oil. They use only peanut oils and their potatoes (also on display) are supposedly specifically sourced for their fries. All in all we enjoyed the fries. Highly recommended!"

"Excellent fried chicken and sides served in a bare-bones locale. The rice and beans are spicy and delicious: made me feel like I was in the Punjab. The coleslaw and mac and cheese were fine, the collards not so hot. Stick to the chicken and you'll be good, the fried shrimp were meh."
