"Our pre arranged lunch for a group of 21 exceeded our expectations. This was the first experience at the Old Ale and Coffee House for the majority of those who attended hugely impressed by the warm welcome and attention. With such a large group it was inevitable that the menu choices were varied from chowder to fish, burgers, steak and salads. All dishes were tasty and well presented generally all felt that we had enjoyed a super meal in a nice and relaxed ambience. We will certainly return quite soon."

"Devizes Kebab Van is located in the car park opposite the Travelodge. If you are staying there and don’t fancy going into town for something to eat, and don’t want to go to Subway, then the Kebab Van could be an option for you. I have now been there several times how sad ! , and the Cheeseburger is very good, and with medium chips and a soft drink it comes to £6.60. There is no need to order the large portion of chips as the medium portion is more than enough, even for a Fatbear ! The guy running the place will also put Mayo on your chips and give you a fork, so you can eat your take-away back in the comfort of the Travelodge in so far as you can use the word comfort in association with the Travelodge ! There is usually a cat sitting on the step to the side of the van – it looks well fed but is a bit timid ! Maybe next time I will try a Kebab………."

"Friends of my son suggested this fast food as the best in the area, he thinks it's very good but the sauce was a little bit too spicy. In Chippenham city centre there aren't famous brands hamburger fast food, here you can taste good ones."

"We stopped overnight to break the journey home. Beautiful place; stunning bar with open fire burning. Warm, efficient welcome. The room was just so lovely. Spotlessly clean and so tastefully set up. We just cannot fault this place. It shrieks of quality and it feels...loved and cared for. All the staff were very attentive. Love the little milk churn and cookies given to us on arrival and the napkins are a great touch."

"What a delight and what a fine welcome. Car parking a bit odd around the corner but nothing amiss with the pub. We both ate very well, fine cheeseburger and my two starters, crispy duck and battered brie were excellent. Nice pint of Butcombe too!"

"Head chef, Nick Oborne, has brought his love of fire roasted cooking to this delightful country pub. If you book the Chef’s table, four of you can watch the master calmly at work and see your meat or fish cooked from scratch. To accompany it is a selection of glorious vegetable dishes. Imaginative, healthy and tasty. The menu offers a great selection for vegetarian, dairy and gluten free eaters and is very competitively priced. This was our second visit and it didn’t disappoint."
