"We visited the cozy restaurant recently and was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful food we were served. the young lady who welcomed us friendly and helpful when she commanded ours. they were able to care for my gluten-free diet and I had it. most delicious fish with Asian vegetables and a creamy sauce. eating is light and tasteful. as coeliac are desserts in the rule a disappointment and limited to obst or pavlowa. not so in the lock tower, since the menu had a good selection of GF desserts. I decided for the jam and cocos sponge with custard- what an absolute tasty bite and I told all my gluten-free friends about it!"

"A meal on the road for us and we were glad to be looked after. With a restricted diet for my guy, there were many dishes he couldn't order so we both went for steak. The description of what came with the steak took up more space on the menu than it did on the plate! In order to get a balanced meal and enough to eat, we had to order veg side dish. We heard others nearby who seemed to do the same. For £20 should you get a meal or a step up from a garnish? £3.75 for the side dish. Nice steak and attentive service."

"I want to try the restaurant uluru for ever since it has moved to the new location of the market street. I have the opportunity today to do exactly that when I met a friend for lunch in pooragh. I liked uluru, an Australian bistro, now I love it even more! the new restaurant is warm, welcoming and beautifully designed. service was great, wein beautiful and eat luscious. I had a wonderfully delicious goat cheese salad (cheese mousse, poched pears, roasted beet root and mini poppadome) accompanied by a side of hand-cut chips. all were washed with a few glasses of beautiful, smooth chardonnay. Heavenly eating. uluru still offers a separate, dedicated vegetarian menu that is good to see and I cannot wait to taste all vegetarian dishes. Top brands to uluru, which I now appreciate, are one of the best restaurants in northern Ireland. I would recommend this brilliant restaurant, it is definitely worth the trip to armagh for a brunch, lunch or dinner. since happy cow will be awarded only 4 out of 5 stars to a restaurant that serves meat (what I completely agree) I will point out that I would give this restaurant 5 stars if I could how to eat fabulous. would highly recommend uluru. updated by previous review on Friday, 1st January 2016"

"I've called in twice during the last month, late on a Sunday afternoon after a towpath walk. Nice home cooking, lovely selection of buns and cakes, limited menu for soup and sandwiches for lunch, but (unlike some other places) staff amenable to making toasties etc even when close to closing time. All very fresh and also accurate to any personal preference requests. I'd also mention that for anyone who can't walk very far, other than at busy times, there is room for several cars to park directly in front of the door and only 2 or 3 steps with a rail into the cafe itself."
