"We turned up mid afternoon on a Saturday. We stood by the sign ‘Please wait to be seated’ The place was about 1/3rd full so not really busy. There were a lot of staff standing around chatting to each other and occasionally attending to a customer. We we waited and waited in fact over 15 minutes before some chap bothered to come up to us by which time my partner said they don’t deserve our money or business let’s go. I spoke to the member of staff and told him how poor it is and how I’m not going to spend my money with you people when you cannot be bothered to show that you want me as a customer and they couldn’t care less. Funny how this branch has today been identified for closure and good job too the staff don’t deserve to work in hospitality because they have no customer skills and couldn’t care less and long as they get paid we’ll no more because you’re out of a job and good riddance I say."

"We had two mesls there a few days ago, the stesknpie was delicious we both enjoyed the meal. I ha one of the best bakewell rart deserts I have ever eaten. We visit quite frequently so always enjoy our meals there. Prices are quite hood and the staff are really helpful and friendly."

"Went there on my birthday with my family. Absolutely a lovely couple of hours. Staff are polite and attentive but not overwhelming.I love the parsnips but a bit disappointed you had to pay extra as a side dish, the food was excellent though Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"The hire and waitresses were very nice and friendly and covided restrictions were respected. the menu was very large, and there was a separate vegan menu, with 4 main dishes and 3 puddings. Unfortunately, the only vegan starter olives and they are not able to supply chips or pommes as they are cooked at the same place as non-vegan things (yes are somehow vegetarian.) the main thing was delicious but very small! in particular the roasted cauliflower wedge, which was 1/3 of a cauliflower on about one tablespoon hummus with some salat leaves. I can't damage the taste, but after only that and no starter I was still very hungry. the desserts were much bigger and very nice. they had a chocolate billionaire bar and a polnta cake on the vegan menu, but there were also crumbs with custard on the main menu."

"After a strenuous shopping expedition a delicious ice cream was a welcome refresher after a Burger King. While we stopped to sit and enjoy we did notice one or two people being kept waiting a bit, but we were served promptly"
