"EXCELLENT food with unique flavor combinations—not just another restaurant for sure!! Service takes a while to get going but then it is excellent. Very friendly staff—literally everyone. They all truly believe in the food and are very excited about it, which makes it all even more special. No one needs just another restaurant—-you want something tasty and memorable, and this, kids, is the place. It isn’t cheap, and some of the portions are small, (tapas style)so just be prepared….but it is quality."

"Bakermens is one of the best bakeries cafes in Christchurch, no question about it. Friendly and very efficient staff and patient as it is often busy. I would recommend the chicken croquettes, they often sell out. Coffee also very good."

"Mum took us to the Brasserie for a nice treat. As usual we enjoyed ourselves a lot. We love the view of the gardens the fish pond at the entry. Constanza was our server did a wonderful job. Very thoughtful and efficient. Adapted as we mentioned Dairy Free. The food wasn’t as good as we would have liked. Although the portions were very generous. VERY salty crackling on the pork belly, Tiramisu was very uninteresting, only half a strawberry on the ice cream with strawberries. Constanza did find us a few more when we asked about it. Fortunately the person who likes a rare steak got a bloody one, and the person who likes “well done” got that. But nothing was discussed ahead of time. However, we had a lovely time and will be back."

"It wasn't until recently that I visited New York Deli at the recommendation of a friend who's a regular NYD patron. I'm not a huge sandwich enthusiast, and it was the sandwiches my friend was raving about. It was therefore with mild trepidation that I decided to dine at New York Deli one Sunday evening. I noted that salads were on the menu, and I'm always partial to a good hearty salad! Now here's the secret to getting the best salad in town courtesy of the very knowledgable and flexible staff at NYD: order to DINE IN! The takeaway salad container is dwarfed by the size of the enormous oval shaped dine in plate, which was filled with extremely generous helpings of all ingredients at my request! A+ already in my books! Then, to top this off, the staff advised which dressings to accompany my particular choices, and they hit the bullseye with this also: the flavour combinations were nothing short of superb! So it is a big thumbs up to New York Deli, and you guys will be seeing much more of me in the future. Thanks for the awesome service you provide our city, and you guys do the best salad for the best price in town! : Steve"

"My girlfriends and I dined in last night 23/9/17. The waiter was very polite and attentive. For a Saturday night, the kitchen staff were quick with our meals. We all had a main and dessert. I had the chicken and vegetables which was dissolve in your mouth delicious and the homemade coconut ice cream with caramelised pineapple and that too was extremely delicious. My friends and I will be back again"
