"I remember went I used to get excited about going to or getting take out from Swiss Chalet. That was a long time ago. It's been a few months since I'd been to one and the downward slide slowly continues. It actually makes me sad...because it used to be great. It's like watching a great athlete in decline who should retire but won't. Food was average and service flat. Don't expect much anymore."

"This was my third visit to herongate. My first two visits were excellent. The food was delicious and the shows were hilarious. However, this visit fell short. The vegetables were over cooked and the other items were ok. They list gin and vodka martinis on the menu button do not have green olives to go with. The show was good but not the good belly laugh I was looking for. I do enjoy herongate and will go back."

"We visit this shisha cafe more frequently than any other in Scarborough or Pickering. While the service can be a little slow on busy nights (what shisha place has amazingly fast service anyway,?) the employees are great and courteous. The owner is usually there and he's a very nice guy who goes out of his way to please the customers. There's a good selection of shisha flavours and the food is actually amazing quality for a small time shisha joint, and the owner is more than happy to recommend something new to try.From the first time we visited the location I've loved the decor and ambience of the cafe. From the comfortable couches to the interesting art on the walls, the two televisions on either side, a few spots near the windows, and clean well done washrooms, it's a much better shisha place than a lot of others outside of downtown Toronto. Good to go relax on a weeknight, if you're not keen on a younger crowd with a possibility of noise, then avoid Friday or Saturday nights around clubbing time because there's the Cocktail House in the same plaza and you're likely to get pre-drinkers and some already drunk people. Give it a try for yourself if you just want a good night of shisha and conversation."

"Kids Hockey team lunch between games Apr 2017I think our group ordered just about everything on the menu by the time it was done. In fairness to them being short-staffed for our group we did eventually get fed and with very few hick-ups. The portions were all decent sized and I tried several plates and everything was very flavourful. There were no complaints as far as taste and flavours went. The poutines were exceptionally good! Nachos, burgers, curry, fries and chicken parm were very good. We called about 25mins before we showed up with our entire kids hockey team, parents and siblings. They said they could handle a group our size but with only ONE poor cook in the kitchen it took an extremely long time to get everyone served. Some people got their food before their drinks however. All in all everything went well. The grumpy old regulars at the rail seemed to be a bit our of sorts with 20 kids running around but everyone survived and no one lost an eye."

"Food was excellent. Presentation was really good. Our waiter was good at what he does and very friendly. Our favourite dishes were the coconut curry soup featured soup of the day) and the Chimichurri Steak Salad was delicious. Only complain is about food flies. We spotted 2 around our table and we didn't like it."
