"Beautiful food and excellent service. Can’t say enough good things. Huge portions too! I had the Tindaloo and it was hot but balanced with flavour and not oily as many are."

"Went for Sunday lunch. I had roast beef, daughter had fish and chips with curry sauce and husband had a burger. All enjoyed, and daughter who is fussy, but said fish and chips good. Beef was tender and tasty. Puddings consisted of banoffee pie, chocolate brownie and Portuguese tart, all demolished, so we all enjoyed! Eaten here before and always enjoyed, and will return again. Only downside today was service was slow. I’d say a good 25 minutes between our food order being taken and it arriving. We were not in a rush but would have preferred to have not waited so long. However first time this has happened eating here so either due to being busy or maybe understaffed today?"

"The food was nice, although they stopped being a rotisserie (just because we left) we both went for burgers who were beautiful esp after waiting 45 minutes after order! in fairness it was pretty busy and the waitress kept us in the loop."

"You don't expect cordon bleu fare at the prices they charge but you do expect to be served what it says on the menu. Two of our party ordered vegan flatbreads and were brought a mixture of vegetables on a naan bread. We were also asked, but refused, to move tables during our meal as we were told we had been seated at the wrong table. I think that says it all."

"A lovely hidden gem of a garden and a perfect spot for sundowners. The food was good, but we were expecting something more locally sourced/reflective of the area. Lovely to try some different local wine. We’ll probably be back."

"On our way back to our B&B after a busy day, we found this lovely place to stop for dinner. Pizza night it was but what a treat Bruschetta’s and garlic bread were homemade, very well portioned and delicious. Pizzas were as good as the other reviews stated. Lovely place, the old station’s garden is just a little gem to eat in. And when it got too chilly for the kids we could go back inside to finish our meals. No fuss I couldn’t resist the Homemade lemon cheesecake. Perfect evening Charming staff Delicious food The only minus would be the paid parking (because of course it’s a real train station"

"The guys helped with an amazing surprise party for my wife. The manager went above and beyond to get every detail spot on for the surprise to work where we sit down for a pretend romantic meal for two but once we sat down she...signalled for the band to start playing in the function room for us to go and have a “quick listen” The new refurb now makes it flow much nicer for functions with easy access to the bar and big enough space for lots or people. The Buffet that was provided for vegan and non vegan was amazing and even though lots was provided it went very quickly. We stayed the night as well and the rooms were so lovely and spacious and breakfast was very nice. The staff where all friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend these guys for functions"
