"Da Mario is an experience and a definite must visit. I can see myself abandoning all other pizza providers!! A very authentic atmosphere, from the beautiful food to the wonderful service and great conversation. They don't have a licence to serve alcohol but you can bring your own drinks with a small corkage charge- which makes for a fab evening out!"

"Having been disgracefully hungover all day yesterday (standard Sunday status) I did my usual and decided only a takeaway could possible prevent death from occurring at the tender age of 30. I usually opt for Indian or Chinese, sometimes a pizza, but for some reason I was craving Fish and Chips and finding only one place which delivered it and reading their reviews on JustEat, I decided it wasn 't worth the risk so opted for Southbourne Fried Chicken instead, as the reviews were 75% less scathing. Anyway so I did find cod and chips on the menu, so i ordered the regular portion so I wouldn 't feel as bad when I also got about 7 other things. Justifing it to myself. It was definitely not as a chip shop cod would have been, the batter was that dark orange brown, sort of cheap tasting stuff that ensures with every mouthful that you are painstakingly aware you have sunk low enough to actually consider Fish and Chips from a chicken and kebab shop.... I suppose you can 't expect the same quality you 'd get from a dedicated chippy and the fish inside was actually reasonable, well cooked and hot and enough flake for it to be a genuine piece of fish and not that reconstituted mush fish you get in the really grotty places where everything on the menu is 'N ' something else. (Avoid) The chips actually made me want to weep because of course they weren 't CHIPPY CHIPS and just an oversized portion your standard kebab house chips which taste a lot like the polystyrene container they are served in. You know, the ones that collect sweat inside so when you open the lid there 's a waft of sweaty chip breath, like when you haven 't emptied the bin overnight. No option for peas (of course) so I had to blast some in the microwave whilst jiffy lemoning (that is a continuous verb, I promise) the fish to heck and inwardly reprimanding myself for my poor life decisions. During The Incineration of the Peas, I unwrapped my cheesy garlic bread and discovered it was one of those long baguette breads with the cheese inside. It was golden brown and crispy and the cheese inside it was that really stringy mozzarella style cheap stuff that I happen to love so winning all the way with the garlic bread. Now I had the foresight to order a burger in the likely event that I wasn 't a fan of the Fish and Chips, however that was a ballache in itself as the menu didn 't specify what came inside the burgers....neither did the official website. This resulted in a phone call to the restaurant which, in my state of pathetic self pity, wasn 't ideal. (The American special has mayonnaise and gherkins, for your information) So I didn 't order the American and opted for a trusty cheeseburger instead and added a note asking for no tomatoes, and for either a burger sauce or a ketchup... whatever they had. So it had come without tomatoes which was a winner, the bottom bun was a little soggy from the polystyrene but not inedible and the burger itself was pretty tasty it had that smoked bbq taste to it which was nice. Tiny bit of old looking lettuce and some overcooked onions thrown in, but not that bad. It was a little overkill on the sauce as they had included BOTH burger sauce AND ketchup but the overall flavour was decent enough. By the time I 'd had a third of the burger I was too full to have a single onion ring or chicken nugget, even though I 'd thrown 95% of my chips away. That 's probably because I essentially breathed in the yummy garlic bread and ran out of space. I 'd probably try another burger from there if a friend was ordering anyway, but I wouldn 't rush to place another order myself. Saying that, I 've eaten much much worse from other places and this was overall acceptable."
