"I recently held a private birthday party at Chelo's East Providence. The staff and all there were so helpful and made an amazing job. Our servers were very friendly and went beyond and beyond. The food was great too. The event was so easy to plan. I managed everything by phone and email. The room looked great and offered a nice private location. I would recommend Chelo's to anyone who wants to plan a private event."

"With two granddaughters in the age of 2 and 7.... our waitress was victoria, shortened tori. she was very attentive and answered my 2 years old when she screamed out, tori, I need you! others wait coworkers came by and chatted with the girl (sara.) eating was great, service excellent. I still have to have a bad experience at chelos! although I go to smithfield in the week, I also visited cranston! always consistently great eating and personal. not complaining of me or my granddaughter! we love it! thank you. tori that I am extra good for my girl!"

"The beet/chickpea taco sounded great!! Unfortunately it was not good at all. Very dry chickpeas wayyyy to crispy not very edible hurt your teeth. Barely no hummus and onions were not sliced thin one big chunk and not marinated. Now it has potential. I would order it again. I would add lime juice cilantro and a little avocado and some crema/sour cream/yogurt drizzle. And maybe little Pieces of diced beet as well. The hummus was barely there I had to ask for more and for lime because it was so dry. Just some helpful suggestion because I think you should keep that option on menu but needs to be fixed!!! Now never a big fan of the clam cakes because always overcooked. We asked this time for them to under bake them! Perfect!!! Seafood chowder yummy as always. I would like if you offered Rhode Island chowder! I prefer non creamy soups. Rhode island chowder is my go to. Hubby loved his burger med rare. So yes everything asides from the tacos was good! I'm not vegan or anything definitely redo those tacos and they will be a hit!!"

"Chelos is Rhode Island’s answer to chain dining such as Applebees, TGIF, chili’s etc, although Chelos does it better. The menu is all American, food is great and affordable. The ambiance is, well, pretty similar to the chains mentioned above. Service wise Chelos does it very well. Well worth a visit if you are passing through or staying in one of the many airport hotels near by."
