"Unlike Seattle and the Bay Area, downtown Houston is not saturated with SB and Peet's at every corner. Buffalo Bayou Coffee is located on the 2nd floor of the Whitehall hotel, and served both hotel guests and folks from adjacent KBR tower. I came here for coffee and breakfast when short on time. Their Americanos are among some of the best so smooth and bold. Their everything bagel comes with a side of cream cheese and is excellent when toasted. For such a tiny little coffee shack, they seem to have a good sized food and drink menu. I also also surprised to see lots of boozy coffee drinks on the menu with ingredients like Kahlua, Baileys, Amaretto, and Frangelico. Kind of odd since most customers are probably on their way to work, and the coffee shop closes at 4pm which is too early for happy hour!"
