"The worst kind of sports bar: a real dump selling awful beer. Went there to see rugby international and got charged 10 dollars to go upstairs to see it despite being half time. Barn like shabby room with no atmosphere, despite the game. Went downstairs at full time but we decided not to stay as the downstairs bar gloomy and equally unappealing. Couldn't face any more of their dreadful beer anyway."

"Duff's Wings is by far the best wing place in Toronto. Located in Leaside, Duff's is both a local place for people living in the area, and a must come for families all over. Duff's has as many flavour's of sauces for chicken wings. Blue Cheese, Dill or Ranch, Death Sauce, and Armageddon Sauce are only a handful of sauces wings can be dipped with. The service at Duff's is great for the small space the restaurant occupies. Personally, Duff's is better eaten if taken out or ordered in advanced because there are long waits in the restaurant. I have never eaten inside the restaurant but have seen what it looks like and just like any wing place, there are TV's so you can watch your favourite sports teams in actions. Want the best wing place in the city along with the spicy and tasteful sauces they come with? Duff's will answer your question."

"When I go to a friends house for a visit, I ask to turn off the television so we can talk. TVs demand our attention and I'm not sure how anyone can listen to me and still watch television.Well that's the Grover. It's a pleasant enough pub but trying to find a seat where a screen isn't distracting your conversation is a challenge.The food is typical pub grub as the name suggests. Prices are reasonable. Wraps, fish tacos, chicken wings and the like. I had their pasta alla carbonera. The penne was al dente and the sauce was an egg, cream and bacon delight. My partner had the squash ravioli and was equally as pleased. We shared a garden salad that was bountiful and fresh.They are justifiably proud of their selection of beer. Craft beers, local beers, micro-brewed; they have an excellent variety. They might have a Coor's Lite somewhere in the back of the cooler if you ask.Would I return? Perhaps, but not until the patio at the back opens in the spring (no TVs).ACCESSIBILITY: Difficult double door at the front but level. Unrenovated washrooms in the basement through a party room (marks off for that)"

"Visited during the week around lunchtime for a quick drink while waiting for a boat cruise. Nice location right on the waterfront. Several large umbrellas to shade from the heat. Service was quick and drinks were cold. We enjoyed sitting back and watching the...boats coming in and going out while we sipped on a cold drink."

"We have been hearing about the White Brick Kitchen for a while. It 's been on many must do brunch lists in Toronto for years. We finally got our family there ourselves and it was not a disappointment. In fact lived up to the hype and more. It is always tricky for us when we inform the waiter, we have a peanut allergy , waiting for them to flinch or start mounting excuses, but our courteous and kind waiter promptly said, we don 't have any nuts in the building . What every Mother wants to hear. Our food was delicious, quick and generous portions. On picky thing, they could have some more real strawberries on the strawberry waffle. Seemed a bit strawberry jam and waffle to us, but the Eggs Benedict was delicious, their sausage with a hint of spice was really yummy and the service was outstanding. We will defiantly be back."

"Grapefruitmond is a next-classic. it is the kind of place where they can take their family to brunch or take a date. on the south side there is an outside terrace and seating in the interior. expect a friendly service and a lot of summer sun when they dine on the terrace. the bathroom is not wheelchair accessible as it is an older building. they didn't have a wrapper in the washroom either. recommend one of the breakfasts or brunch options when you find yourself in the neighbourhood!"
