"Went in for a pre theatre meal great value.The place isn’t fancy but the staff and food makes up for it.The food was delicious and reasonably priced.If I had one crittism the toilets are needing a bit of redecorating but things are tight."

"Having lived in Hong Kong and China for 40 years. I rarely eat Chinese in UK as I find it is generally poor quality compared to China. On this occasion I had met a Chinese man at a nearby local hotel who had recommended Wong's. So I called to ensure they had lamb. I only eat lamb. I had a difficult telephone call to ensure that lamb was actually available as there were 7 different lamb dishes on the menu. To be told only two were available. Anyway I thought I would take the short walk of 5 minutes to check out the restaurant. I have rarely had such a rude reception at any restaurant. I know that Beijing people have a reputation for being loud and rude but I rarely go to Beijing. Anyway, my reception was extremely rude and the food was quite frankly the worst I have had at any restaurant in 2 years back in UK and the worst Chinese food I have had in any Chinese restaurant in any country. I travel for a living. 56 countries at the last count. The bill was extortionate £53 for three very bad dishes and a pot of tea. I was suitably unimpressed and will never return and hope this review will warn others. Service was an abomination and food was worse. Be warned."

"Tucked away in one of the side streets behind the busy Upper Street in Angel, is this fantastic noodle and dumpling bar. It’s nothing short of great fresh tasting food. I really liked the simplicity of New Culture Revolution. New Culture Revolution make their noodles fresh everyday and none of their dishes contain MSG. It really does feel like you are having a healthy meal and you can definitely tell the high quality of the food. I found that the food was not oily and the portions were big. It’s a good place to go for a satisfying lunch."

"If they want Chinese street food, it is very good to pay the prices were ok, unfortunately it is only cash, but I managed to pay with wechat. I thought some of the dishes were missing the sauce that are usually in them, but no bad effort."
