"Stoped here after the Anchor bar would not put on the Thursday night football game. Bar tender was very friendly and knowledgeable on drinks and food choices. I settled on calamari coconut calamari. Interesting taste and texture but, good. I then had the rustic chicken club, wow this sandwich was great, nice Aioli with lots of chicken and bacon, a sandwich I would order again."

"Decent experience with good food. Tried Veg Manchuria, Dahi puri both were good. Also, tried Chicken curry it tasted ok the portion quantity is less. Sevice provided by girl named Harpreet is too commendable. Overall, its more or less like a bar with restaurant and good vibe with Punjabi music."

"Royal Myanmar is the only Burmese restaurant in Toronto but not the first. The city have had a few Burmese restaurants before. Despite the good food and service, not many people were familiar about the rich culinary traditions of Myanmar and contributed to these predecessors' short-lived run. Royal Myanmar is a refreshing and wonderful addition to the diverse flavours of Toronto. Influenced by bordering India, China and Thailand, Burmese food is flavourful, rich but not overwhelming to the palate.I worked and lived in Burma and have great memories about their hospitality and the amazing food. After a long wait for Burmese food to be resurrected in Toronto, we discovered Royal Myanmar. My wife and I and two young kids came last Saturday. My two picky kids surprised us as they devoured the Mohingga or the fish noodle soup and the coconut noodle soup. Their chicken curry is good as well and unique and not your typical South Asian or Thai curry dish. The shrimp and fish patty was also wonderful. Their green tea salad is light and delicious. The yellow bean soup has a pleasant taste and complements the main dish. And after my wife and I thought the best was over, the cassava dessert again surprised us with its crumbly just-right-sweetness. The location is okay but the food is worth visiting for. The owner and other staff were very kind and even offered Burmese treats to my kids made of palm tree sugar. We can't wait to try Royal Myanmar again and we'll definitely take our visiting friends here. With the large number of Chinese, Thai and South Asian resto's in Toronto, Royal Myanmar is a refreshing taste that is here to stay."
