"Sonar Tori is located at 4th floor, DC Block, City Center 1, Saltlake.<br/ <br/ Ambience- Proper Zamindari touch gives an outstanding look to it 's interior.The sitting arrangement at the fine dining are is absolutely gorgeous. They have 3 PDRs (Private Dining Rooms) which is used for private group parties. One is the open PDR where visitors can use for smoking. Rests are the closed PDRs which are designed in a theme of dining halls of a royal palace. I am so attracted with this place.<br/ <br/ Food- I opted for their 'ILISH UTSOV ' menu which is available from 15th August to 14th September. In this course they serve different types of items of hilsa fish.<br/ <br/ •From 'ILISH UTSOV ' I ordered for-<br/ °°Ilish Macher Tikki- This is made with mainly boneless hilsa fish, smashed with onion, green chilli other spices. It is served with onion salad kasundi or mustard sauce.<br/ <br/ °°Podda Nadir Majhider Ilish- This delicacy is a typical Bangladeshi cuisine which is observed among the fishermen of Bangladesh. Firstly, the big piece of hilsa is sauted into oil. Then cooked in a curry which is flavoured with onion, garlic, ginger, tomato seasoned with a special masala. This is absolutely droolworthy!<br/ <br/ °°Sonar Tori Ilish Platter- This jumbo thali includes-<br/ ^Gobindobhog Bhaat<br/ ^Macher Tel<br/ ^Ilish Bhaja<br/ ^Ilish Macher Tikki<br/ ^Pui Diyae Ilisher Matha<br/ ^Sorse Ilish<br/ ^Bhapa Sandesh (This baked sandesh has a prominent flavour of gondhoraj lemon)<br/ <br/ •I also took some dishes from their A-La-Carte Menu-<br/ °°Mutton Keema Chop- Minced mutton balls are dipped into egg batter, then coated with bread crumbs finally deep fried into oil. Amazing.<br/ <br/ °°Vetki Fish Fry- Fresh vetki fish fillet seanoned with kasundi/ mustard sauce. This is perfect for start your meal.<br/ <br/ °°Daaber Icecream- It tastes like a real tender coconut. Simple yet beautiful texture! I am blown!<br/ <br/ Staffs Behaviour- Staffs were courteous they always were mask, gloves, head caps which is impressive.<br/ <br/ This restuarant assembles different tastes of Bengali cuisine. "After mom's hand cooked food, this food joint has served the most in my appetite of growing up.<br/ <br/ I have almost ordered uncountable number of times from this small eatery, located at the heart of Ballygunge, just opposite Repose Nursing Home. This small food joint serves lip smacking Chinese dishes. Though there are no proper seating arrangements, just 5-6 chairs lying on the pavement for quick eating purpose. This food joint mainly serves as a Take-Away purpose. They also provide home delivery services within the area, which is free of cost.<br/ <br/ The food is totally lip smacking and very cheap and great in quantity. This is a paradise for budgeted foodies. Service is very fast.<br/ The bill comes only with the price that is printed in the menu card.<br/ <br/ Items Ordered: 3 plates of Egg Chowmien Hakka 1 plate of Dry Chilly Fish<br/ Pocket Pinch: Rs.370 (Including GST)<br/ <br/ The egg Chowmien was great, with proper portion of veggies in it. The Dry Chilly Fish was equally great with proper balance of both chilly and sour taste to it. <br/ <br/ The other dishes which are totally worthy of a try here are Crispy Chicken, Chicken Roll, Momos, both hakka Gravy noodles and American Chop-suey. <br/ <br/ Cost for two: Rs.300 approx (Including GST) <br/ <br/ This is a GEM for budgeted foodies. If people are looking around for good Chinese food in and around Ballygunge, without burning a hole in the pocket, and also getting a satisfying portion, this is the place to be."

"Das cabin is a hidden gem place in Gariahat with a maximum accomodation of 20-25 people. They mainly serve deep fried dishes like fish fry , Afghani chicken, kabiraji, mughlai etc.<br/ <br/ In my last visit to this place, we ordered fish kabiraji which is mainly a fillet of fish dipped in a batter and deeply fried. The outer layer was crispy , though I felt the coating could be a little thin. But it tasted really good and was filling. Price was Rs70.<br/ <br/ Falooda kulfi- Being a kulfi lover, I had to try this from this place. Quite reasonable yet so tempting and delicious. A must try. Price-50"
