"Disappointed! I bought a mango cake and my brother bought a combination leche flan/ube cake for our July 4th celebration. I should have suspected that we were getting old, stale cakes, when they did not take the cakes from the display case but already had boxed ones ready for sale. I was expecting the cakes to be moist and tasty like the packaged mini-cakes that I've tried, but we got dry, grainy cakes. The moistness of the mango topping did not help to moisten the cake portion. The leche flan was good but the purple ube cake portion was also dry and grainy. Each cake was $33+ and the money was not well-spent. I was disappointed since the mini-cakes have always been good and I expected the same quality from a bigger cake version. From now on, if I buy such an expensive cake, I will ask how long it's been since the cake was baked. No matter how nice the staff is, all I remember is the poor quality of the cakes that I served to guests."
