"It was necessary to get out and explore food I wasn't long, so that day it was Shoal Creek Saloon. Parking could be hard here, but luckily you found a place. At first I didn't see a front door, but just went to the back where there was a large terrace and sat there with a great view of Shoal Creek. I discovered a few turtles and a nice partial view of the city centre. After I went inside to explore, I noticed that people left the front. The service here is very friendly and has this Louisiana atmosphere. I ordered the Welsplatte with Hushpuppies, Cole Slaw and Red Beans with Andouille. This place celebrates the Cajun culture mixed with a Austin vibe. Soon my order arrived and tried my catfish. It was just fantastic and perfect with the dipping sauces. It had great delicious taste and very warm. The sides were just as good and enjoyed the red beans along with the Hushpuppies. With all the entanglements with flooding and fire, this place seems to come back quickly to serve great kajun food that feeds hungry souls."
