"This place has local ambiance and vibes from the time you see it from the street. While on a business trip we were looking for a place to have an ice cold beer and good food. When you walk in the first thing you notice is the patrons, they are all locals and a bunch of people on a business dinner. That, to me, was exactly what was needed. The entrance is on the side instead of the side facing the street. Once you walk in you are greeted by the friendly staff and taken to your table. The place is nothing fancy but clean and the decor is a throwback and the restaurant is filled with families enjoying a great meal. The beer selection was pretty good and the size of frozen mug starts at XL, or so it looked. The steaks are all very good quality, rivaling many of the big city steakhouses but at a much lower price point. This is a place that I would come to every time I am in town. If you like a low key, friendly place with great steaks at a price that is quite affordable, Fred's is the place"

"Best breakfast spot in town! if you want to know what’s going on in Altus, spend a Sunday morning in here and you’ll meet some of the town’s most interesting people. Very friendly staff, great breakfast buffet. It’s my favorite place to be on the weekend when I’m in town."

"Your little waitress girl is rude and does not know the menu. I asked her what the chicken Parmigiano is. Her: Idk..I just... ??..me:Philly cheese steak please. Then when we realize we are 1 spaghetti short she acts like my husband is the one in the wrong..he asks for a manager. Literally no one comes to address the situation. I liked the calzlones here..but yall gotta do better. Train your workers before they start messing up orders and blaming customers. Spent $70 in an empty restaurant. Won't go back. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"
