"Had a good dinner and great wait staff on a karaoke night. Been awhile since I've been here, a few years. I thought it was still just as good as it was years ago. We got the chicken fried steak and the tuna sandwich. I'm so very picky about chicken fried steak and Daybreakers version is quite good. It is hand breaded too. The tuna sandwich, it is on the dryer side, but adding some mayo to your bread will take care of that. They don't add any condiments to the bread unless requested. Got the Daybreakers pasta as one of the sides. It's good. It's a warm pasta with spaghetti noodles, tomato chunks, and it's cooked in an olive oil based sauce. We had a slice of cherry pie and vanilla ice cream for dessert. So good. Nice warm pie and the cherries were not too tart to where they make the pie sour. They were more on the sweet side so it paired awesome with the ice cream. Also, the portions are large too. You shouldn't leave here hungry :"

"Very bad first impression. I wasn't in the mood for chicken... First mistake was not there for chicken. I ordered the fried catfish and asked if one of my two sides could be salad, and was told that I could have salad, but that there were two sides... I was all right with that, because I wasn't really hungry. What I received was a serious TINY serving iceberg salad with very small red cabbage and carrot shredders in it... prohaps 7-8 bites. It was unstoppable. When the catfish came, he was overcooked and soaked into old oil, Ick!!! When I checked out, I was charged an extra $1.00 for a menu change. If not for that, I could return to try the chicken one day, but how I feel that I was completely exploited, prefer never to give them another cent of my money."

"Classic old school family diner with swivel chairs at the counter. We took a booth next to the windows. Our server was very efficient and fast.Our drinks were delivered within 2 minutes. Our server answered our questions and we ordered. Wife got the O Brien. A hamsteak eggs, hash browns and toast . The ham was tender and moist. I had the cowboy cut steak, eggs hash browns and biscuits and gravy. The steak was top notch, tender and flavor full. The homemade biscuit and homemade gravy was very good.This place regularly rated top place in Yuma."

"The Monterey Chicken was fantastic! I honestly didn't expect the court to be so good. Larry knows what he's doing. The chicken was tender and damp and the grilled jalapeños, onions and cheese were a perfect match. Brittany was my waitress and was super friendly and helpful. Very recommended food!"
