"I really don't like to give a restaurant anything less then 5 or 4 stars but unfortunately La Strada falls short in almost every category. First the good, very good salads. Now onto the criticism. Service was not good. Staff that did not seem trained properly. Forgetful and slow is the best way to describe the service. The pizza counter looks delicious. We selected 6 different slices to eat at the table. I really was under whelmed by most. The calamari slice looked awesome and had absolutely no flavor. The penne pasta slice with garlic knots crust was served cold in the center and besides the crust had little flavor. One person at our table ordered snapper fish. It was terrible, came out grey with a congealed sauce. It's unfortunate when an Italian restaurant can't get the basics right. We won't return."

"Literally the most bizarre chicken fingers I have ever seen. Small chopped pieces of chicken deep fried like little nubs of chicken! They should really name it popcorn chicken for what it is. It was also over cooked. Also ordered the Farfalle with shrimp and the shrimp came breaded and fried. Nowhere in the description did it say the shrimp was breaded and fried. Huge disappointment as I was expecting regular sautéed shrimp. The pink sauce was also bland. No flavor whatsoever. Will not order from here again!"

"I love Forte. it's my favorite place to eat in and order out . However, I think the delivery charge is a joke ! $3.00 fee for delivery abd it DOES NOT go to driver . Driver uses own car and gas. total rip to the delivery boy ! I tipped him $5.00 on my order but feel he should get the $8.00"

"I booked Water and Wine with high hopes for my husband’s birthday. Restaurant itself was dumpy and outdated, and didn’t seem very clean. There was a dead fly on the window sill next to my seat. The windows facing the Watchung Lake had giant bugs crawling all over the outside which made me lose my appetite almost immediately. The host and servers weren’t welcoming or warm very “all business” and gruff attitude. The food itself was the biggest disappointment all our dishes were either inedible or subpar with zero presentation we got the burrata (had a sour taste as if it was old), octopus (had a fishy taste unlike any other octopus I’ve had before… which is a lot) for appetizer. We barely touched the apps. For entrees, my husband got the lamb chops medium well (they were cooked to medium rare). I got the short rib pappardelle, which was okay but tasted like a diner dish. We were so deflated from the mediocre meal that we skipped dessert and got the check and booked it home"
