"Our wedding sample was excellent at the Steakhouse at Flying Horse in Colorado Springs. From the beginning with Diane Bice, the staff was professional, friendly and made our event unforgettable. The friendly and personal nature of Diane lets me return to enjoy the ambience and pleasant smile and inviting character. We had 25 families and friends in the Rotunda and during the COVID, it was the perfect setting with access to the outdoor terrace. It was a perfect setting for the Pikes Peak and the front area. The food was fantastic... gourmet type brunch food and well played and covered/served. The Bloody Mary and Mimosas were also a welcome touch to the day and we never ran out. Overall a fantastic brunch— I recommend organising your event at the Steakhouse at Flying Horse."

"I popped in last night to give this place a try after driving past it hundreds of times before. The restaurant was quiet and very very clean, which I always appreciate. Service was super friendly and fast! My server let me know that the sprite may have been running out of syrup and to let him know if it tasted at all off so he could replace it, I heard him mention it to other diners that ordered sprite, and that’s such a great sign of attentive servers that warms my heart. As a solo diner I frequently get service that isn’t all that great, but not here!I ordered chicken katsudon which comes with miso soup and salad. The miso soup was delicious, flavorful, and warming. The salad was okay- the dressing was delicious but there wasn’t enough of it on the fairly plain greens. The chicken katsudon itself was absolutely incredible. The chicken was crispy, well seasoned, and didn’t get soggy under the eggs and onions that top the dish. The onions were soft and added great texture to the dish. The steamed white rice under the chicken was perfectly cooked and had just enough sauce on it to carry it through every last bite. Overall the dish tasted the way a warm hug after a bad rainy day feels. The portion was generous and I left happy with a full belly.I can’t wait to try more offerings from the menu, as I am sure to return!"

"We got the mix plate and chicken katsu, each had 2 scoops of rice and one scoop of macaroni salad. I'm not big on macaroni salad, but I wish I would have gotten an extra side haha. The mix plate was the best in my opinion, the kids loved the beef, not big on the chicken. I thought it was delicious all the way around. It was super super bust at about 2pm, but we'll worth the wait. Placed my order and probably waiting 15 min maybe 20 at the very most. We will be back to dine in next time!"

"Quaint little restaurant with 50 clever rolls named after the 50 states. Ordered the Alabama roll and steamed shumai. The roll was tasty with lots of kani and big shrimp. The shumai was not very good. It was definitely not made in-house, definitely frozen. Overall, my experience was positive and I will order again when in the area."
