"Ambiance-fantastic! Very large but cozy vibe. Unusual rice paper lighting fixtures. Every seating area was designed to feel like a booth. I like that so much better than a bunch of tables in the middle of a room. Food-fabulous! We ordered bento boxes and were not disappointed. My sashimi was extremely fresh. And Tender. My husband's salmon roll was also just great. Service-again fantastic! Waitstaff was attentive and professional. Our new sushi place."

"Phenomenal Lunch experience. Our friend and family have been reading and highly recommended here for over a decade. I ordered the rice dish with Teriyaki chicken and beef option. The small bowl ordered and was more than satisfied. We added a spiced seasoning mix that is available and adds a big kick and dimension to the vegetables sides and rice. For an additional fee, brown rice, extra sauce can replace. The service is nothing spectacular. Quick, short, to the point. Bus your own table when you're done. The food is ready. Many other options that I want to enjoy on future visits, from sushi to Katsu, the different salmon variations."

"TK Cafe Hawaiian BBQ in uptown Monrovia provided a satisfying experience all around. It’s a small family-run counter serve operation with great Hawaiian inspired plate lunch comfort food, especially for meat lovers. The place is tucked in a corner of the Vons mall at the southwest corner of Myrtle and Foothill, so plenty of free parking. The chef and manager Ken took my order and was very friendly and helpful to recommend certain specialties on their menu. I ordered the Chicken Combo (BBQ Chicken and the crispy Katsu Chicken) and the Hawaiian BBQ Mix (BBQ Chicken, BBQ Beef, and substituted Teriyaki Chicken in place of Kalbi Beef). Both plates come with two scoops of white rice and a scoop of Mac Salad. See images. Their BBQ Chicken is definitely a specialty, flavorful, and both combos I received were a generous serving of the moist and flavorful chicken. I would go back the next time I’m in the mood for Hawaiian plate lunch and would recommend 5 stars compared to other local counter serves in Monrovia."

"Family dinner for the victor! lemme says before I ordered the pakalolo in my system was strong, so I went hard. katsu huh amazing. kilua pork must order them when they go Hawaiian when they eat pork, so well shredded, spiced excellent, with the sauces they offer and run home! real family levels volume, real family level price. we?"
