"Great food, as usual. We like to stop here for lunch before an afternoon flight out of OAK. Our fish and chips were crispy and tasty. They recognized my wife's allergy and accommodated us in the closed downstairs dining area, because the upstairs pub area had complimentary peanuts and there were peanut shells on the floors. Our servers were kind and provided excellent service."

"The food was amazing and so was our waiter. When you book, though, you may want to call and confirm you are not sitting on their “heated” porch. When we arrived and were seated out there, we asked to move inside due to the fact it was freezing out. The hostess could use a few lessons on how to talk to customers. Super rude. She said there were no tables inside yet when the next table was seated outside and they asked to move inside, she miraculously found a table. Our waiter was amazing as well as the food. But we ate in a spot that was about degrees so that part was not enjoyable."

"The service I received was not good. I got to the restaurant around 11:43 I had an 11:45 reservation for 2. The restaurant was very quiet as the lunch surge had not started and there was only one other table being used. The hostess was not at the hostess desk so the bartender came over to help me. I told him I had a reservation. He looked somewhat confused and asked me if I wanted a booth? I said sure but he did not direct me to any particular table and did not give me menus for me I was waiting on a guest arriving at 12. So I sat down at a table marked reserved , thinking that was my table since I had a reservation for 2 and it was a table for 2. So, about 7 minutes later the hostess comes out and says I 'm sorry but you can 't sit there . I explain to her that I wasn 't even seated so I figured this table was mine since I had a reservation. Mind you, it was only me and one other table at this point so there were about 15 empty tables around me and the hostess is telling me I can 't sit at the table I 'm sitting at?? Anyways, I let that go and she finally gave me menus. My guest arrived and we ordered. The food came out in a timely manner but my guest was never served the iced tea she ordered with the meal. I had to ask for it again once the food came out. My water was only refilled once close to the end of the hour, and it was empty for about 30 minutes. Food was very good and fresh, but the service was terrible."
