"Our waitress was slow and very inattentive. The other waitresses that answered our requests was very nice. However our waitress barely checked on us and when she dropped off our appetizer she just walked away quickly without letting us ask for anything . Food was fantastic and delicious."

"We go to Melillo's a few times a month and are never disappointed. First I need to make a clarification to a post by a previous reviewer, this was never a brothel. It was originally the Hotel Caneva, built in 1914 by Joseph Melillo and in that family for over 80 years. There were houses of ill fame in Lowellville back in the early 1900s but not this establishment. Now about the food... it is freshly prepared, so some times there is a bit of a wait... but I would rather have a delicious meal, enjoy the company of my dining partners rather than eat something heated from frozen in the microwave. If you love history, want to eat at a nice family owned restaurant in a quaint little corner of the Mahoning Valley, then this is the place to go to!! The original walk in safe is a must see."
