"Beautiful small modern bar/bistro with wet facilities. playground outside for children. eating is in order, there is nothing that is great, it is pub food. I had no good steak here (the kitchens certainly need a school) and recently the ribs were ordered cold (both of us). but I can't blame the service personnel, all are brilliant. they only discovered one night with a trivia, looks like fun."

"Ordered the Wagyu Beef Burger with fries and Aoli dipping sauce. Lunchtime Service in the front bar area on a weekday. Counter service attendant was quick to come serve me, but seemed like he didn't enjoy his job. Meal came quickly and the burger was very big. Burger Patty was pink inside, but mostly Luke warm at best. Not sure if it was cooked earlier and heated again, but I didn't like it. Burger tasted alright, but Patty was a bit of a miss. Chips were average to good, but Aoli sauce was bland and a little abnormal tasting. Aoli sauce dish was not clean, so I left it alone. For amount paid, I was expecting a little better quality. Overall, average at best. Will try somewhere else...read more"

"I always love coming here, staff are always amazing! I've been coming here for Lunches and Dinners for quite a few years and every single staff member I have encountered has gone above and beyond to make my experience great. Meals are always quick and very tasty! Even when the restaurant is full I have never had to wait long for my meals. If at a large table the meals always come out at the same time."

"Very disappointing overall. Some staff knew what they were doing but others didn't. Very disjointed service and a long wait for food which was very home cooked and put together. No presentation at all. We had a prawn cocktail which was very difficult to eat and although the prawns were of excellent quality, they had to be peeled and we had to ask for finger bowls, very little salad and the sauce was jammed underneath. Once again very poorly presented for eating. Sorry but I won't be returning."

"My husband & I stayed in Townsville for almost two months & decided to have a meal on our last day in the city to this restaurant. Food is good, but, the garlic bread that we ordered was just the size of a child's fist & didn't even leave a crumb in between our teeth. Had the fish N chips....it's nice & crunchy, generous portion, but, the fish was too greasy & the batter was just so thick, you can hardly see/taste the fish. We just ate the salad, chips...picked the fish meat & left the greasy batter behind. To make matters worse, we endured a tummy ache the next day. Not the best memory to take back home aye"

"Great room! Very affordable accommodation. Clean and reasonably quiet. Meal was tasty but very small if you have travelled all day with seedy servo slop box.Safety: A bit shady. Warned by staff that there is less then desirable people who use the accomodation. That's why they take a 300 deposit on rooms... Make sure your insurance is up to date I'm guessing"
