"We arrived at Cote St. Luc Bar-BQ and not one single person was seated in the dining area. We were seated and looked at the menu. We ordered and waited about 25 minutes. When it arrived, my bun had mold on it. My wife's meal was ok. I sent mine back. It arrived better and we ate. At home, I became sick. I threw up all the chicken and ended up with lots of washroom visits - day and night. I believe it was FOOD POISONING. My wife and I will NEVER return."

"I went on a Saturday night and had the table d'hote, a braised lamb shank. Supper yummy, it reminded me of my grandmothers cooking. The chipotle in the braising sauce was background enough for anyone with a Canadian palate to enjoy with just a soupçon...of heat and smoke. The lamb was of a very good portion and perfectly cooked. Fall off the bone is not good when it comes to lamb shank. If the lamb falls off the bone it is beyond cooked. Properly cooked the lamb shank should pull off the bone easily. Fork tender is just right and this lamb shank was a perfect example. Hats off to the chef! It was served with roasted veg and Mexican rice. The roasted veg is not a proper description, this was more of a stewed or steamed veg, delicious to be sure but not what you would expect from something roasted. Perhaps a change in the name on the menu is due. The Mexican rice was very tasty but just a shake or two over salted. It was still very good and I would have liked a slightly larger portion. The service was very good, not rushed at all as the room got busier and busier on a Saturday night. One really felt welcome for the evening. Prices are fair, lamb in any resto is a pricey item. Two of our dining companions had burritos which clocked in at a very reasonable each, served with beans and a healthy salad. There are lots of menu choices and you will not die from spice overload. Notwithstanding a couple of minor quibbles with the veg and the rice, I would most certainly return to this restaurant. Well done Chef you absolutely nailed the lamb shank!"
