"I have eaten two star restaurants; Rohnert Park and Novato. Similiar Decor (Fake Flowers – Neon Lights) is not that attractive BUT the food is excellent for a Road House Diner. Breakfast is large, well prepared and filled. Very satisfied. Lunch in both stars was very good. We had fish and chips; Chinese chicken salad, salmon grilled sandwich, burgers and pommes. All said good things and would eat there again. The waiting staff in Novato offers a good service, although a waitress was a bit loud, gruff (Harley chick) but everything we asked with a comment to contact us. Rohnert Park waiting staf is a little underestimated, but show up regularly to make sure you have everything you need. All in all, Star Restuarants offer GOOD FOOD, good service, friendly atmosphere (mother and children often go there for lunch) all at a reasonable price. breakfast average $8.00 without drink; Lunch is about the same...$8-10 without drinks. Try it, but if you like it, keep it quiet....they are already busy most of the day...and weekends... You will probably wait 10 minutes for breakfast."

"This is undoubtedly my favorite restaurant in Marin. After I wasn't there for a few weeks because of so much summer activity, I decided to try the $3.95 breakfast, which was excellent 2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon and 2 pancakes. Although the waiting person would have had an attitude due to the cheap breakfast... she was gracious and hospitable, also with a considerable amount. Then I decided I had to go for dinner ASAP and ended the same evening. Quality of ingredients, assembly, preparation and presentation are no longer. The only Italian restaurant that comes close is Poggio in Sausalito at twice the price. The portions are also reasonable, not your food the world shares, although large enough that they can be divided. This evening I had the best Burrata cheese on Crostini with diced tomatoes and the right amount of garlic. The other dish for the evening was spinach and chicken salad. Sufficient to say another home alley with a spectacular balsamic dressing and bits of bacon. Your wine list is very thorough and there are many excellent values. The servers are all top notch and friendly and ready to offer advice on food and wine. Almost forget the affogato (Vanilla gelato with a shot of espresso and covered with whipped cream) is to die. Some of the reviews on Yelp come from Jan 2008-Jan 2011, when the business was run by the previous owner who was not as adept as the founder. One of the founders took the property back in June 2011 and is the reason why it became a 1st class restaurant again."

"We ordered a salad and a sandwichThey were efficient, price point wise very reasonable compared to a lot of restaurants these days .I do miss baby greens in my salads .I had a summer salad with Romain, lettuce and lots of fruit. It was very refreshing. If you like people watching, there was lots of them around to watch while you're eating .I didn't get any baked goods this time, but I know they're quite yummy from past visits ."

"Ordered really late and picked up a salad. I don't like green salad, but this one was great. Although the greens were a little wilted, I didn't care. So good I tried to eat the whole thing. Saved half and finished it the next day. The Harvest salad had pecans, dried cranberries (needs more of these), blue cheese and great balsamic dressing. This is my favorite salad. I will order from them again in a timely fashion. From the reviews and my one experience I don't think I'll be disappointed. Food made easy to get and enjoy. Great chef, fab menu."

"We, 2 couples, had dinner at Batika on Saturday. (we have been to the restaurant several times). It was busy but we had reservations and were seated promptly. After ordering some beer wine we focused on the menu. We started with Tin Kebabs three different kinds of kebabs (Chicken, Lamb and beef) and an order of vegetable Pakoras (Onions and veggies coated with chick pea flour and deep fried). Both dishes were delicious and there was enough for the 4 of us. For main course we had Lamb Curry, Chicken Tikka Masala and eggplant curry. All 3 dishes were mouth-watering and authentically indian in my opinion (since I am one). We thoroughly enjoyed the meal. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a first rate indian fare."
