"I suggest you avoid this place.We had been on our feet for several hours and it was raining so we took shelter in this cafe/restaurant looking for a coffee/tea and possibly a pastry or cake. What a mistake, as only a few hundred yards away were some lovely looking places.The place stank of cabbage and seats were grubby. Should have gone back out into the rain.We ordered a coffee, a tea and a piece of strudel. The coffee was just ok. The tea was dreadful, the cheapest ever bag, for which we were charged 4.20 euros. After having had beautifully served tea elsewhere in Vienna, including the provision of timers, I could not believe what I was paying for here. Fortunately, the strudel did not appear....When we asked for the bill and pointed out the non-appearance of the strudel, the waitress did not even attempt to apologise.Should have checked beforehand on Tripadvisor......"

"Good Italian food served hot and plentiful with friendly and helpful service. My only issue would be that they didn;t seem to serve wine by the bottle, only by the glass which can get expensive. But the wine they did serve was fine."

"First night in Vienna and we stumbled upon this after checking into our Hotel which was across the road. Lovely setting and food was simple but good. Service was quick although poor chap was on his own (his English was excellent).We had a simple bratwurstl, and some local beer - excellent. The apple strudel for desert wasn't up to much though.Definately worth going and definately worth going back as its situated in Stadtpark itself."

"It was nice to escape t he cold outside by going into this large cellar restaurant. They specialize in tafelspitz and pork knuckle both of which we ordered. I liked the tafelspitz although the pork knuckle was quite salty (meant to be, I guess I'd...describe the food overall as kind of simple but homely. Several different wait staff served us and they ranged from being very friendly to slightly rude. I did try to speak a few German phrases but one waitress (who dealt with the bill) seemed to not like serving us at all. It was a shame as the other servers were absolutely fine and one chatted in English with one of our kids, so overall it was still a pleasant experience. It's also a very atmospheric place so I would still recommend it."
