Just learned that they are a lot like a McDonald's - but the food is better.<br>
<br>
Stopped in for dinner and noticed they had a Roasted Chicken Pot Pie on a two can dine for special and that it is available all day. Being by myself I tried to order just one but was informed they don't have a key for that so it is unavailable. <br>

Thought that they were a real restaurant and that only McDonald's was that incompetent.<br>

Ordered a new item off the insert - 6 oz fillet w/ peppercorn cream sauce and mushrooms, salad, and asparagus for the $0.99 up-charge.<br>

The meal came out perfectly. The steak was cooked as ordered along with the asparagus and mushrooms. The sauce was great and completed the dish and presentation.<br>

After a decade or so of eating here a few times a month it is nice to see them upgrading their menu from the good, but highly predictable, fare of the past. Perhaps they have...

"One of the better Sonics line moves in a good tempo, friendly staff and hot eating hot, cold food cold. the lemon berry lamp is an old favorite REAL edible and lemon, cheerful! also love their wobble rings - crispy brot and tenderly swirling. happy hour is a great value, especially for the sluts."

"I ordered the Carolina Porker the sauce had a little kick. It had slaw and fried onion strings on potatoes bread. My husband the Reuben. We both cleaned our plates. They smoke/cure the meat on location. The place has a cool history. Ask about it. Love Love Love! Awesome! Fantastic! Check it out."

"All but the kitchen sink salad is really good, but enough food to feed two. a half salad option would be nice, or half salad and sandwich option. ribbon cake is always delectable. my friend got the smoked turkey sandwich and said it was the best turkey sandwich she ever had. the waitress outfits look like they just came out of yoga, and a waitress underwear was clearly visible through the thin black fabric, a little sticky, but surely everyone kept on our table when we tried to find out the pattern/printing. lol."
