"After doing a quick lap of the many restaurants and food stores here at Market Square i settled on Ithai. The restaurant was just over half full and visited by locals which is always a good sign to the quality of food. Order at the counter then waited less than ten minutes for my food. Absolutely delicious, after spending many years traveling to SE Asia i grow tired of eating "authentic" asian food which has been westernised to suit western palates, this i never could understand because people generally only like a particular style of cuisine after they have traveled to that country and experienced the authentic food for themselves. Anyways Ithai delivers, beautiful food for $10. The serving was more than enough for one sitting and for an extra 30c i purchased a container so that i could enjoy the leftovers for dinner. Whilst sitting enjoying my meal its always reassuring to look up and see the picture of the Thai Royal Family looking down on me as it tells me that whoever runs the restaurant is Thai also. Ithai job well done. My only small issue would be that the usual condiments that you see in nearly every restaurant in Thailand was missing, itd be wonderful to have soy sauce, fresh chilli, fish sauce, etc available but for me today it was served upon request. Great lunch."

"Ate here recently for the first time since it was Little Singapore, a little hesitant after seeing the reviews but I left happy. It’s nothing fancy or gourmet but it’s a good meal that’s cheap and fast. The host who seated us was lovely and really took care of us. To start we got some vegetarian spring rolls we got to share. I think they were full of potato and corn so they were quite sweet and mushy, I much prefer them when they’re full of cabbage, glass noodles, mushroom etc. so I wouldn’t order those again. For our mains my friend ordered a mi goreng (extra spicy) and it did not disappoint; usually when you ask for it hotter it still isn’t satisfactory but this was full of fresh chilli, just the right amount, and the dish was served piping hot. I got the bbq pork and duck noodles which were really tasty, the only let down was that it said spicy on the menu which it was not.
