"This is a top little spot.It was almost next door to where I was staying, and being handy, I thought I'd check it out.I'm glad I did!For a start, the customer service was first class.The young girl behind the bar was exceedingly friendly, incredibly efficient, was selling the hotel's fare with great aplomb and made me feel right at home from the start.The food is obviously good, because there were a lot of diners in that night.Barra was on special for about $15, and from what I could see, the meals looked delish!!I had already eaten, but I had some chips with gravy. (I could have had a ranges of gravies or sauces, but I stuck to the original!)A HUGE bowl of perfect chips and a sauce boat of yummy gravy!I got through the lot, even though I wasn't all that hungry.The Gladstone has a good range of beers and has various ciders on tap.All in all, it's a terrific friendly and vibrant little pub!!The staff are great and I can't wait to go back again!Good work!I'm so Glad(Stone) LOL!(Ok! "Met here with friends on a rainy day. Cosy and relaxed atmosphere. We stayed on far too long but were not harried in any way. Good substantial steak and chips, but nicely done and great service. For a pub, coffee not bad. Clean and not too noisy for conversation."
