"Filling in time before we left Playa del Carmen late in the evening we stopped off here having travelled the length of 5th Avenue for a quick drink. The place is in a good spot opposite Parque Fundadores and was very quiet at circa 8-8.30 pm in the evening. Perhaps as it was latish April this may have been a reason, but we had plenty of choice for tables and as were are smokers plumped for one at the front. Decent and reasonably priced beer and the cocktails seemed pretty good but all in all it lacked a bit of atmosphere, which seemed strange now when looking at other reviews. Good service and attractive décor ( though a trip from the front to the toilets upstairs was a journey ) this place really should have been doing better. But we were happy and after a couple of rounds we headed off. No great memories though but peaceful all the same."

"This place has all the aesthetics of a Mexican restaurant but resembles more of a Chevys. Everything is Americanized down to the salsas. All their food is bland, no taste. They took forever to get our food and when my tacos arrived they were cold. Their salsa lacked flavor, their shrimp fajitas was missing something, just plain taste. I'm not sure if the food is fresh or frozen but this place is not worth the hype. I also noticed we were not the only couple that felt like this saw another table waiting forever and then leave right away with half their food still left on the table. When the waiter asked if we liked our food we told him our opinion about the food and he just walked away. Do your self a favor and go somewhere else."

"The tempura fish tacos were well worth the wait! We did have to wait a while (and the restaurant was near empty) but we're glad we did. The host was very friendly and attentive and went out of his way to chat with us about where we were from and how long we were visiting for. He showed us the local newspaper with a map too."
