"Despite living in Chester for many years I never set foot in Katie's Tea Rooms. However when we wanted to find a good restaurant to dine with friends who were visiting us we liked the look of the menu prices at MD's. The reception and service from the staff was excellent the table was suitable for 6 of us and was ready and waiting. The food was enjoyed by us all without exception, and the fact that they accept a Gourmet card made it an even more value for money visit. The only downside was the trip to the toilets, which took us up several flights of stairs through apparently unused areas with worn out carpets. On balance I would recommend this restaurant for a value for money meal, tasty food and great service."

"Beautiful village pub and restaurant, which is dog friendly. when we had a dog, we had to sit in the bar-fire room, which was unfortunately not fired, but the candles and pretty fairy lights made themselves to make it all cozy. the personal was really nice and made us very welcome. we had a nice table to enjoy our meal. the owner has even kindly brought our dog contracts. the food was good, the service was good and the decor was perfect for a cozy village pub. Many thanks for making our evening so pleasant and I would definitely recommend this dog-friendly restaurant to everyone in the opposite."

"I only went here because the place I had planned to go to was closed. I had no idea what to expect. Wow! What a lovely surprise. I eat at a lot of Indian restaurants but sadly, they mostly all serve the same selection of dishes. Not here, though. I was in Chester for two nights and ended up eating here both times. Each night I had something different and each course was something new to me. I didn't have anything I would not be happy to order again. Great selection of meat, fish, veggie and vegan food so really something for everybody. I wouldn't have minded it not being so harshly lit to be honest but what does that matter when the food is so good? The staff were great, helpful and knowledgable. To be honest, if you like Indian food and you are in Chester then I can't really recommend this place highly enough. Oh, by the way they sometimes spell it with a C and sometimes with a K. They are both the same place."

"I have been going to the Tarporley Kebab And Pizza House since it first opened, the proprietor always made me feel very welcome, and the food was always excellent, I must have had over 100 meals there, so speak with some certainty. There were occasions where an order was wrong, but when ordering over the phone to a busy takeaway these things happen, and a couple of times out of a hundred is to be expected. They always apologised and rectified the issue if you let them know. I've had worse issues with bigger fast-food chains. All in all the place always looked clean, the food was good and good value IMO, and I'd still order food from them, in fact, that's tonight's dinner sorted!"

"I'm a fan Subway but this is the first time using Chester Forgate street and it was terrible. Both inch subs came with hardly any filling and drowned in sauce. I've never had a problem like this with any other stores. No wonder their...score on just eat is poor. How do you fail at making a sandwich??... embarrassing for the manager to not have the basics covered in their establishment."

"On a recent trip to the Wirral for some medical treatment my nurse recommended Holdi to me. And I have to say I’m glad she did. The meal was reasonably priced. A really good choice of dishes. It was all really tasty. If I am ever back up this way again I would definitely revisit here for a good meal. It was very busy even for midweek so appears to be popular in the area and I can see why."
