"From the outside, the Hanger looks as though it should be serving chilli or burritos - it has a distinctly Mexican look about it - firey oranges and red paintwork. It is surprising then to find a semi outside area - great for the summer and and interior decorated with old vinyl records and having a distinctly retro feel. The service is extremely pleasant and quick, the friendly atmosphere permeates the whole area, there is music playing but not too loud. The tables are set well the areas are clean and without too much clutter. The menu changes each week, so there is always something to look forward to! Our meat was good but the main meat of the meal was undercooked for our tastes. The rest of the meal, the starter and pudding we great. The vegetables and sauces were very tasty and completely surprising - we were not expecting such a level of expertise by the Chef! It was a good meal served well in a friendly and convivial atmosphere. A surprising and lovely experience."

"We went with four adults, four teenagers for lunch. The starters (vapeurs dumplings) and 'assortiment ' (including crystal rolls) were so delicious and fresh tasting. The mains were also beautifully flavoured. Best of all, the host was the most charming gentleman, attentive and helpful. There were some beautiful paintings on silk for sale too, and one has made it back as a lovely memento of our holiday and delicious meal."

"We used alencon as a stop over on the way back to the uk. Looking at trip advisor , a kaboul was listed n2 on trip so we decided to try it in order to avoid bad food like mcd for example ... the waiters , the manager or owner) were all very pleasant and polite , the food was great and flavoursome and good sized . The price is good considering the quality . Would definitely come back !"

"We went as a party of six on a Tuesday, the restaurant was warm and welcoming - it was freezing outside. The starters were hot and distinctively Indian - all home made, the sauces and dips were hot, sour, sweet and creamy, the popadoms were exceptional!Our main courses were served quickly, the naan breads were super, we chose many different toppings - including a garlic one which was wonderfully thick with fresh garlic, they were all freshly cooked. The meats in the Madras, Vindaloo and other specialties were succulent and tender - the chicken was really, mouthwateringly delicious. Dont expect really hot food, go for one hotter than you would normally - this restaurant is really geared to the French spice scale! The spice combinations were fabulous. I would recommend this lovely place to all - great food, great service and not too expensive!"
