"Over the last five years I have been visiting this restaurant occasionally. So I did last weekend. This time disappointed. I think it is a bit strange to have a supplement price of 10 euros for one of the starters in a gourmand menu of 35 euro. In this case the Foie gras starter. Three small square pieces of Foi gras. The main course sole was okay although the texture of the sole was somewhat weak. It was in my opinion also not solea solea but probably another cheaper sole species. The dessert was made without any fantasy and had not an outspoken taste. Only very sweet. Approx 40% of the small glass of the aperitif Pineaut de Charente was filled with ice. The wine list and the chosen was excellent. There is an unbalance between the price for the food and the quality served. Last remark: cleaning a table besides ours by spraying the cleaning agent is not the way it should. I want to taste the food and not the cleaning agent."

"Three of us went for a celebration. For starters, one had foie gras and liked it, but 2 of us had asparagus with salad and tried to enjoy a small potion each of 6 or 7 white asparagus whose colour and soggy texture suggested thy had come from a tin. For the main course, one had veal which was OK but the peas and haricots with it were obviously out of a tin. Two of us had the plate of 2 fishes which we were told would be cod and loup. In fact there was only one whitefish with 3 prawns each, and when I asked why the second fish was missing, I was told they had run out, which was interesting as the restaurant was empty except for one group who came and went fast, with no sounds of happy eating. There were no apologies for the missing fish and that whiich was served was a small steaklet of soggy texture, with less flavour and worse texture than the frozen Aaskan pollock steaks I buy in large packets and cook at home. The fish were served on a soggy bed with slight flavours of leak. The potatoes were good. Our hostess had recommended the fish with much yum-yumming. We ended up aying more than 100€ for this disgraceful meal, which also included 2 smwall pichets of red wine. We turned down offers of dessert and coffe and departed as fast as we could telling our hostess we would never come back again"
