"With sufficient parking space on the back, this caffe has direct access to the parking space. they have the opportunity to sit in the open or in the inside. the device is equipped with sessels and coffee tables in the front windows quirky; small tables for 2- 4 as well as larger dining tables, the 6 all with unsurpassed chairs that add to the allure this place. I also noticed another escort I suspect can be booked for private functions. on the display is an interesting collection of decorative items. on a cold melbourne day with the sun outside the dining room was very cozy. we came to lunch and while the food offer is small, it will cover all the bases with meat,huh, vegetarian options and also foccacias and cakes from the display. a beautiful sortiment to specialtees is also available and the staff is very friendly."

"I ordered the Tortellini Vienna. As per the menu there was no indication that this included any meat other than chicken. When I ordered over the phone I asked if there was any bacon or other meat (I don't eat red meat, it makes me sick) and was told it just had chicken. When I got home I took one bite and realized the tortellini was full of meat (I assumed it was vegetarian or cheese tortellini as I had asked). I called back and was told it was veal. I asked to come back and have my meal replaced with penne instead. I was bluntly told "no". I then said as I can't eat it I'll come back for a refund and was then told "no refunds."I questioned why it wasn't specified on the menu or why I was told it was just chicken. She put the phone down, came back and said "you just asked about bacon. You should have asked about veal." So basically asking if it had "bacon or any other meat" doesn't cover veal according to Godfathers.I was told if I didn't like it to speak to the manager Frank tomorrow. The phone then cut out. I received a call back a few minutes later and was told they had spoken to the manager and that they were told to replace my meal, at which point I declined. I don't trust I'd be served a meal I could eat. I will come back to speak to Frank. It's very, very clear that they don't care about their customers, maybe because Frank is not there? They just care about their bottom line. They saved a few dollars by not replacing my meal and lost at least 2 customers in the process. This could have been so easily fixed if they just agreed to replace my meal without blaming me and causing such a dramatic fuss. It is beyond ridiculous that it even get to the point of having to be called back. It doesn't take much to give your customers correct information on your menus or via your staff (who need a lesson on your menu AND polite customer service). Paying customers have every right to know what it is they are paying for and potentially consuming ESPECIALLY if this is something that could make them sick AND won't be replaced or refunded without being told off. We won't be back. Anyone who cares about what they are eating or where their dollars go should avoid Godfathers.Two major thumbs down."

"Food ok, but overpriced for the quantity and quality on offer. The chicken burger ($19.90) consisted of two small, dry, deep fried chicken tenderloins on a bed of salad-mix type greens and a slice of tomato-no sauce, mayo, aioli, etc. The bun was nice.Long wait for food too. Staff behind the counter were loudly arguing with each other over various things, while being told "everyone can hear you!" by one of the other staff members. Won't be rushing back."

"17/03/2016<br/ Another great dinner.<br/ Grilled Pork, a bit tough and salty, fantastic sauce/dressing.<br/ Green Chicken Curry; okay<br/ Thai Beef Fried Rice; okay<br/ Pad Thai; smaller portion but easily one of the best in Melbourne.<br/ Massaman Beef Curry; would be hard to beat.<br/ Pla Sam Rod; spot on<br/ Great service!<br/ <br/ Another great suburbia Thai restaurant ....<br/ <br/ Okay, this strip of North Balwyn Village is an old institution of Milk Bar, Chicken Bar, old Patisserie, etc. has now evolved into a bigger and better foodie centre.<br/ <br/ Kati Thai is a great addition to the Village. Authentic home-style Thai cuisine.<br/ <br/ Pleasant service and enjoyable place for lunch dinner."

"Here on the way to home from a regular event with our little man, there parking on the left side in a small section of the road, great friendly staff, we umm’ed and ah’ed, as never had this type of eating before, they were very patient...with us and our strange asking, eating is fantastic, quirky atmosphere, which was great, suitable us fine, very reasonable, already have a few"

"Walking into Olive Lane, I felt like all my Christmases had come at once. This gorgeous cafe and bakery is a sweet lover's idea of heaven. With a mix of traditional Greek flavours and French pastry techniques, Olive Lane has a loyal following with local residents returning time and time again.<br/ <br/ The cafe itself is lovely, with a large space and high ceilings. Beautiful light fixtures, lovely furniture and greenery make it a welcoming space. To the rear is a narrow light filled corridor that is perfect when the weather is good and there is more seating further to the rear. It was almost a full house when we visited and we were soon to see why. The staff were lovely and welcoming, and more than patient with our decision making over the sweets cabinet.<br/ <br/ The display is overflowing with Greek and French pastries. Divine looking baklava, donuts, croissants and danishes are so tempting and that's without looking at the cake cabinet. Rows and rows of perfectly beautiful French inspired treats are amazing to look at. Trust me, choosing a favourite here is like choosing your favourite child... impossible. We finally made a decision and sat down to enjoy fabulous coffee and fresh juice.<br/ <br/ We ordered the French toast, and while we waited we enjoyed some beautiful cakes and a serve of kataifi. The cakes were so beautiful to look at, but equally good to eat. Filled with flavoured mousses, the flavours of pistachio cake and ferrero rocher mousse were heavenly; and the little red cake had a delicious shortbread base, and delicious creamy filling. The kataifi was absolutely heavenly, laden with lashings of honey syrup; the shredded pastry filled with nuts was simply sensational.<br/ <br/ When the French toast arrived, we were blown away with how epic it looked. A beautifully presented dish, with a huge piece of brioche topped with chocolate mousse, icecream, pistachios and loads of fresh fruit including bruleed banana and fresh pasdion fruit. This is easily one of the best French toasts I've ever had, as it wasn't overly sweet and it had so many contrasting textures and flavours that just balanced each other perfectly. Once we saw the size of this dish, we knew that our little cakes were going to have to become takeaways, as I never would have been able to eat that much in one sitting. The staff were extremely accommodating and fully understood our predicament. That French toast is a huge and satisfying dish.<br/ <br/ I absolutely loved my time at Olive Lane, and really wish it was in my local neighbourhood. The residents of Balwyn sre so lucky to have this fabulous cafe and patisserie on their doorstep. Amazing food, a fantastic ambience and absolutely beautiful staff make it a real treat to visit this cafe, and the fact that the place was packed is evidence that the locals know this to be true.<br/ <br/ Thank you for hosting us.<br/"
