"Large restaurant, has a bit of an industrial feeling. Limited choice of traditional food, prepared perfectly. Lot of waiters running up and down, but they are not allocated to tables, therefore the service seems a bit uncoordinated. We received half of the starter immediately (the soup). After it was finished, we waited quite a lot of time for the other part (the garlic bread) and drinks. The main dishes arrived immediately after. Then waiting for the coffee was also a bit long. We have a general feeling in larger restaurants in Madeira that the attention of the service is concentrated to the 2-3 tables where the recurring local guests are eating, the occasional guests are served in the remaining time."

"We’ve been here a couple of times before and it is our go to restaurant in Camara de Lobos great location and we enjoy the food. Staff are always great but we were served today by Georges who really went the extra mile, going out of his way to find us a nice table in the shade and describing the specials in great detail. He really was excellent."

"Don't let the wait deter you... once you get that succulent beef in you, you will be in heaven!We knew we were going to a good place when our taxi driver was super impressed to take us there.First glance at the place you'll think, "dear God what have I got myself into" but put those looks aside, this place has personality and that's what counts. We waited for close to 45min and had some snack beans and poncha at the bar to prepare us for the main course.We were handed the menu with less than 10 items on it: meat skewers and chicken, bread and sides. Don't waste time on the poultry, go straight for the meat. Get 2 skewers if you're dining with your significant other.Don't be scared of eating it medium rare, in fact it's more rare than medium but all worries will melt away as the meat does as you chew... And don't say no to the garlic butter - it makes everything better, do I have to say this?Very happy with our meal, will come to Madeira again just for this."
