"We went for dinner on a Thursday. Plenty of families with children but it wasn’t noisy or disturbing. We had chicken with sauce and tagliatelle and a special burger with Cantal cheese and duck. The food is not particularly sophisticated but is well executed, tasty and copious. We didn’t order starters and We didn’t have room for dessert though the “cafe gourmand” looked very appealing! Just a couple of points for improvement: the fries are precooked frozen and not better than in any burger chain ... something to be changed? Also dishes, glasses and in general the table arrangements should be improved. They’re ok for a cheap eat but the restaurant merits better. The service is fast and correct. We also had a half bottle of wine, not cheap but worth the 20€. All in all satisfying."

"Habitués du domaine depuis des années, en famille, en couple ou entre amis, c'est l'une de nos pauses déjeuner préférée sur le domaine de la Plagne. Très apprécié, il est préférable de réserver en forte saison si vous voulez avoir de la place Seul petit reproche : nous sommes un peu serré à table mais la vue exceptionnelle fait oublier ce petit désagrément !!!Continuez comme ça et à la saison prochaine !!!"

"Popped up to Champagny for a late lunch only to find our first choice had finished serving. This turned out to be good for us as Le Barillon welcomed us to a cosy table. I had the best pizza I have every had and my chums very much enjoyed their meals too. Wine served en pichet was good value and coffee was great. Thanks to the team at Le Barillon for a super lunch. We'll be back."
