"After a recent stay in the area, found this eaterie, warm welcome on entry, waitress have us sufficient time to peruse the menu, then came over to offer drinks, local beer is always a plus for me oj for boss and water for teenager, wife's haggis bon bons were a win, chicken goujons for myself and camembert for youngest, if your going to put sweet chili on plate say it, don't just put it on for colour, wasted half plate as she hates swet chilli, goujons? What was the dusting powder? And why chicken goujons and sauce is easy. Wife's steak pie was boiling and tasty, macaroni cheese was ok seasoning could do with seasoning and iron bru ribs with bbq beans well, more iron brew as people order because they expect the flavour to chuck norris you, I would expect the flavour to shine out and the beans to taste bbq, try the sweet chilli with the iron bru and bacon pieces in a bbq sauce with the ribs and call cowboy beans as done in the 80s and they were amazing, all in all an ok experience, it is a local pub, do local pub grub! amazing and will be beating repeat customers and locals away, few specials from local foods, fish meats etc, most people want to eat good plain hearty tasty foods that at the end they go best ever tasted!"

"Ordered gluten-free, and it still made the wife who has coeliac disease very sick all night. So poor food preparation standards right there and no understanding of special diets. The pita bread tasted like early setting mould. The salad definitely wasn't fresh, like it had been stored up to its use by date. Not recommended."

"This restaurant use to be excellent at lunch time offering a set two course meal with authentic dishes to choose from. Having visited recently I was So disappointed as they offered a Buffet lunch which would suggest you got to select from a buffet table,...one would not expect too much for the (I think it was) per person but the buffet came straight from the kitchen on a side plate, the starter in the form of a couple of pieces of chicken which had no authentic Indian flavour, there was a tiny chicken wing, two little chicken nuggets? and I think it was a pakora all cold. Having asked us if we wanted vegetables or meat for the main again three dishes appeared from the kitchen all chicken, I asked the waiter what curries they were, he pointed to each one and said sweet, medium and spicy, having tasted the sauces they were like nothing I've ever tasted from an Indian restaurant, the portion of rice for two was measly and the Nan Bread just acceptable. I didn't think much of the service as I felt the waiter didn't want me to ask question. It's obvious that a budget has come into play because of lost revenue due to the pandemic but what false economy as people will not return if this is what is presented it's insulting to offer such poor, inadequate food when once it was excellent. I doubt I shall ever go back there."

"The menu is varied and not all items were available but everyone enjoyed their choices. The quesadilla and hamburgers were quite good but the service was slow and some food had cooled off before being served. They do have an outdoor deck the restaurant...has a lot of local items antiques on display. All COVID 19 protocols are in place there is a nice washroom."

"Had a nice dinner here. the restaurant is very clean and refurbished. menu is varied, well designed spicy wise and cheap. Eat is good, but some reviews here are a little too generous, call it the best Indian food in Scotland, which is a high brand! the personal was friendly and attentive."
