"Delicious food and friendly staff! The dough fish in my fish and chips was crispy and the fish flocky. The haggis neeps and tatties were also delicious! We asked for a dessert for children and they gave us two plates for us to share!"

"My wife and I dropped in to the Crofter on a Saturday afternoon and were treated to a very nice meal. We were seated quickly and after ordering, quickly received our food. My fish and chips were delicious. The fish was equal to the best I've had in Scotland, perfectly cooked, perfectly crisp, without any greasiness. The chips were a solid B+, just missing perfection. I had a local beer which rounded out out the meal nicely. My wife had the onion and tomato toastie, which she liked. We topped off the meal with the sticky toffee pudding, which we decadently ordered with ice cream, whipped cream, and custard. It was delicious and very rich (and filling). The Crofter is part pub, part restaurant and was a pleasant place to have a late lunch. We waited a few minutes at the end of the meal for our check, but in general service was both friendly and efficient. If you are staying in, or passing through Fort William, I'd recommend checking out the Crofter if you are looking for a wee drink or hearty meal."

"Nice ambiance. Few vegan options, only a burger and maybe the curry. I had the burger, which was 2 beyond meat burgers, vegan cheese and vegan bacon. Delicious! Also fries and vegan mayo. Friendly service as well. Note: the onion rings were not listed as vegan. Reservations are recommended. Updated from previous review on 2023-04-08"

"Fish and chips was decent. Sort of prices I expect to pay in a tourist location. Should offer salt and vinegar at counter. As the sachets put in the bag isn't enough. Disappointed to have drove to our lodge and the onion rings I had paid for weren't in the bag."

"Fantastic chippy, I had gluten free fish and chips and my partner has fish cakes both were delicious. Owner also very knowledgeable on gluten free and celiac which as someone who's recently diagnosed is a god send. Definitely will return her next time I'm passing."
