"Called in on Friday 24th feb for dinner with the family on the way through town. 3 servers which had no idea what they were doing which left a very long wait. The meat was good but that’s about all that was in the sub as there was next to no filling added. Worst subway I’ve had ever Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner"

"What a delightful Man who served us. I believe he was the owner, said 'his wife made the meat patties. ' Which my husband loved. Also gave us an extra fish end, joking about coming from a large family someone is always left still hungry. He appeared to know the town as others entered and he chatted with them about there day. Fish and chips were so tasty, awesome hot dog as well."

"Stopped by this place on a winters night on our way back to Christchurch from a ski trip. We were very surprised by the quality of the Indian food this tiny unassuming shop was serving. We ordered the lamb nawabi, lamb Karachi and garlic naan. The lamb was so tender and juicy, both the curries where really hitting the spot but special mention to the nawabi, the coconut based curry complemented the perfectly cooked garlic naan. The owner/chef is soft spoken nice guy, I hope more people visit his shop and get to try the food, I for one am really looking forward to trying this place again next time I am in Geraldine."

"Not many vegetarian options. I got baked potato and latte. Seems shortage of staff. The staff member need to rush to attend customers so felt service is suffering. Latte was not hot. Baked potato was good. Felt bit overpriced on cafe items. For shift or souvenir shopping many of the stuffs are priced reasonable compared to other places."

"Other places were closed, so called here and glad we did. Lovely coffee for me and Kick in the Nuts for my daughter (it's a milk shake lol) ..and good old kiwi food. We shared a bacon sarnie and a cheese roll. Both really nice. Lots of crispy bacon and very cheesy roll....would definitely call again. Called again in July 23. Still a great place. We had fish n chips ... beautifully battered whiting... flat white and a tea. Good value, good food. They even chased me with stuff I'd left behind. Oops. Thank you!"

"A nice cafe in this region. The vibes are great and we enjoyed out short stay there to have our energy restored. Staff are nice and the service is nice. They also have boiled water which is friendly for customers who wanted hot water. Tap water and hot water are free."

"As a semi regular diner and a bit of a foodie who has tried many Indian restaurants through NZ, I am appalled by a previous post who appeared to have gone to the best Indian Restaurant I have been to simply to complain. I can only think they went there with purpose, to just slam a very good restaurant and people who work there. The total experience has always been consistent which is why I return often."

"Absolutely fantastic food! Onion bhaji's and spectacular lamb chops to start, then mango chicken, butter prawns, beef vindaloo, and a fish dish with buttery, garlic naan. Superbly cooked, and I'm gonna say it, the best Indian food I've ever had in NZ. Service staff were grand, crockery came out super hot, and the drinks list was good. Crazy extensive whiskey options! Book, because it's pretty busy. Definitely going back.
