"My and last visit to this establishment! I had no idea it was possible to make brisket dry and tough like (beef) jerky, but BRB found a way! So dry I can not help but feel as if they are serving the same hunk of brisket day-after-day until it is gone. The only item which I have enjoyed each time was the corn bread."

"This restaurant has now been renamed "The Frob" and it is part of the Frobisher Inn hotel complex. It is quite pricey and it should be noted that there are other lower priced food options in Iqaluit. What sets this restaurant apart is that it is decidedly more upscale. While staying at the Frobisher Inn, I ate on two occasions at this restaurant. Once for dinner and once for brunch. Dinner was just OK. I ordered the cod croquettes (cod cakes) with basil risotto as a side dish. After finishing my meal, I was quite upset to learn that lobster risotto was a special for that evening. My server did not even mention this to me, but the table next to me had a different server and she was diligent enough to tell them all the specials that evening. I noticed this was consistent fault of this restaurant: when I returned on another evening I asked about the specials and the staff were not well informed and had to check with one another. Better training and coordination is one recommendation for The Frob that comes to my mind. Overall, my dinner meal that evening was just OK, with overall experience ruined by my server's oversight.Sunday brunch, on the other hand, was fantastic. There was plenty of different dishes to chose from: seafood dishes, pasta, a nice cooked ham, a crepe station, various cold cuts and cheeses, scrambled eggs, eggs benedict and a huge assortment of desserts. There was endless tea, apple and orange juice. At $40 per person I found this to be a great deal considering these a la carte items on a normal night at the Frob would have been incredibly expensive. I was also told by the locals that oftentimes they have local cuisine like wild game stews and arctic char. Honestly, the brunch really redeemed this restaurant. It's a great spread and great value. If only the staff could be more informed about what's on the menu..."

"Had my first caribou and it was tender and flavourful and perhaps my new favourite red meat. The dinner of caribou medallions came with vegetables and a sweet potatoes purée and a peppercorn gravy. The service was excellent as well. Will now be my favourite restaurant in Iqaluit."

"I called in to place an order for one large chicken shawarma for delivery. She took down my phone number and where I was staying (I was staying at the Frobisher) which honestly wasnt too far away but I was feeling lazy this particular day and didnt want to take a walk over. An hour after I placed my order, my food had still not arrived, so I decided to call them back to find out why. When I asked about my order, the lady on the phone explained to me that the reason is because she has hundreds of orders . What kind of response is that? After waiting for an hour, not only did she not sound apologetic, but she replied with an excuse. She told me the food will go out when the delivery driver comes back. I asked her if she knew when the driver will be back. She replied No. She didnt even try to give me a rough ETA. I 'm here getting more and more impatient as I 've already waited an hour at this point. Ten minutes later, I decided to call them back to cancel the order because honestly it was taking way too long and I was getting quite hungry. I asked if I could cancel the order, and the same lady over the phone told me the driver just left with my order, and asked if i still wanted to cancel it. Seeing that the driver had already left with my order, I would have felt pretty guilty if I were to cancel it at that point. So I told her I would take it. Another half an hour has passed. I was pretty upset at this point. I decided I would call them back to tell them I no longer wanted the order. I called a total of three times. The first time I tried, the lady declined my call. The second time, I actually got through, but the lady simply said Yummy Shawarma, please hold and immediately put me on hold, I couldnt even fit in a word. I waited on hold for a good 2 minutes before hanging up and trying again. The third and final time I dialed, she gave me the same line Yummy Shawarma, please hold and put me on hold again. I just hung up. It 's ridiculous. At this point I had waited a total of 1 hour and 40 minutes, and still didnt get my food. The way Yummy Shawarma handled this situation was very poor to say the least. If you make your customer wait over an hour for food, start with an apology, give them a timeframe of when the food should arrive. Don 't give excuses when you make mistakes. The business is yours to run, quite frankly the customers doesnt care if you have hundreds of orders , thats something you have to figure out whether its hire more staff, or organize your workflow. And also, dont put your customers on hold just because you dont want to deal with them, that is as unprofessional as it gets. I wont be ordering from them again. My recommendation is to just pick up the food if you plan on ordering here, dont have them deliver. I also hope the restaurant improves their customer service."
